Yeast Test
Hi everyone,
I've had systemic yeast for many years now and was diagnosed through a blood test.. I've recently done a stool test thru Great smokey mts and they found no parasites or no yeast.. Is it possible it just didnt show up because I know I still have a terrible yeast problem.. I have chronic vaginal yeast with itching,, burning vulva, and anal itching. My ears itch and burn all the time, and my gut is bloated and hurts a lot... I wonder if it didn't show because I had been on antifungals a week before I took the test...
It's sooo frustrating when you know you are sick and have a yeast problem but then the test comes back negative so they think your crazy and it's all in your head or something...
I don't know what to do because I'm very ill and need some help but not sure what to do now..
I've taken all the natural antifungals and have seen some difference but not enough to kick this evil thing.. I feel like I'm at a loss now. What should I do?

I had the same thing. Negative on the stool test. Not very acurate
Same result here on the
stool test: no yeast.
In my case, systemic antifungal
meds did very little.
For rectal burning and itching,
I found that topical
clotrimazole cream helps
tremendously.
Hi Noelle,
Stool tests are notorious for missing yeast despite obvious symptoms. I think you would be better off getting an Organic Acids Test from Great Plains Lab or Metametrix. It's more reliable.
In the UK there is something even better called a gut fermentation test. I don't know if that test is available in the US or not.
You may need to take combination therapy. Some have gotten great results from Diflucan/Lamisil combined when nothing else worked.
Whatever you decide, make sure you do it long enough. If you quit too early, the yeast develops a resistance to it.
The CDSA is supposed to tell you which substance your particular strain of yeast is most sensitive to however, the lab is not able to culture it every time.
