Candida Stages
Does anyone know if there are phases or steps in the healing process of candida? I think I am healing but I'm not sure what stage I'm at in it and how much longer I need to keep going with the restricted diet, supplements, etc. Any advise would be helpful.
I've been on the diet for about 9 mos., but haven't noticed much improvement. In fact, some of my symptoms are worse. My son, however, who's 12, has been on the diet 4 mos. and has had quite a bit of improvement. He went through short period of feeling worse, then, slowly, feeling better.
Tonya, the stages for me has been like a very long staircase, step one was about 20 years ago and it has been a steady grind trying to get to the top ever since, sometimes its one step up and two back. I would suggest that you keep a diary of how you feel and what your thoughts are as you go along, this will prove valuable later on because you will forget just how bad things were.
I will give you my two cents worth from what I have learned in the last 20 years, maybe it will save you some time and money but most people have to go through the same step process and learn it for themselves.
The basics in my opinion for getting a complete cure from candida overgrowth is cleansing the gut and liver not once but ever how many times it takes, getting the good bacteria replanted and colonized and going to a diet that is alkalizing. The most important tool you can own is a ph meter, get one and get your urine ph in the 6.4 to 7 range and you will see things start to happen.
Good luck!
Thanks Tom! Keeping a journal is a really good idea. I'm gonna start doing that. I agree with your strategy for healing. I also do the same things (liver cleansing, clean my gut, strict diet, etc) and they seem to be working for me, slowly of course, nothing happens overnight. I also get accupuncture done, drink chinese herbs in a tea form to strengthen my immune system, and I drink Kombucha tea to also strengthen my immune system . Strengthening my immune system was what got me on the path to better healing. It gave my body the strength to fight back.
