Hiatal Hernia

hiatal hernia- hidden disease- http://www.joyfullivingservices.com/hiatalhernia.html

Really interesting that this condition is apparently widespread and rarely diagnosed. I probably had it for years, and I read in a few places that it can cause candida overgrowth because (like a clogged liver) it greatly interferes with digestion... I can't tell you how much better I feel after getting my chiro/kineasiolgist to adjust it. For those of you who feel like you can't take a deep breath without lifting your shoulders, check it out, you might save yourself a lot of time and trouble if one of the root causes of your ill health is a hiatal hernia.

Hi John,

Nice information.

I remember one of my dearest ones have this problem.

Just want to know how long it took to clear the problem for you.

Thanks
Banda

Re: hiatal hernia- hidden disease-
Good article, thanks. A couple things. First I think I've had some 'problems' with my diaphram and/or stomach causing me to have shallow breathing (and possibly other problems mentioned in this article). I've had alot of success doing deep breathing techniques (pranayama) where I push air deep into my lungs, thus stretching my diaphram in the downward direction(I think).
Also I think a possible cause for a HH that is not mentioned in this article is when the esophogus, which is a muscle, I assume, cramps up, it could go into spasm, shorten, and begin to pull the stomach too far up through the diapghram, ending with a Hiatal Hernia.

Thanks Niles. good points. I'm ashamed at myself for not figuring this out a long time ago. Anyway, what they say is true, recovering your health is like peeling the layers of an onion. its amazing how good you feel when you can take deep breath without struggling.
