Raging Candida Rash

Raging candida rash
Hi everyone, I hope you remember that I'm the one who was here about a week or two ago. I explained that I have this burning raw red vaginal and rectal area. My doctor gave me diflucan. My question is- is 150mg taken twice for two weeks enough to rid myself of candida? I think not. I have only two pills. The second one I take tomorrow--seven days apart. It only seemed to help for a few days and I thought- should I take another one before the 7 days? What if it comes back full force after the second one is taken. I am also not on any carbs-- sugar or grains. I'm also taking probiotics, kefir and garlic. Its not doing much, I'm still bleeding from scratching. Although I'm resisting the urge more. I'M REALLY DESPARATE RIGHT NOW. Shouldn't I be on a long term diflucan with more than just two little pills? What else can I do?

Re: Raging candida rash
Either find a doctor willing to prescribe it long term and higher dose or order cheap generic yourself online

Re: Raging candida rash
Toni, IMO I would stop the probiotics and see what happens, as well as being very strict about what you're eating.

Re: Raging candida rash
Hi Toni:

Are you using any creams? I used a homeopathic daily: Yeast Gard, from Walgreen's(USA), which helped to keep down the itching, and kept it from becoming a vaginal yeast infection.

Re: Raging candida rash
When you were telling nicola that she should not worry until she has reoccuring jock itch, athletes foot, acne, etc... You were suggesting that those symptoms were Candida related?

Thank you

Re: Raging candida rash
Hi Sammy,
YES!!! It is amazing but once yeast is overloaded in the system, symptoms can play peekaboo all over the body. For instance, my severe symptoms are all female related. This is what made me realize I had candida. However I also have symptoms that I never knew were yeast related until I really started researching. I had horrible athletes foot in high school and college. Now I have kept it manageable but it comes back once a month and goes away. I have always had bad dandruff which I just found out that this is yeast related as well. Now that I have kept with the diet, my dandruff is starting to gradually go away. I have a weird itchy section on the bottom of my foot. A doctor told me in May that it was poison ivy. I don't think poison ivy runs a course of this long. I have always had gingivitis. It just never goes away. I will floss everyday to keep it manageable but if I miss 2 or more days, forget it-it comes right back. Toenail fungus-CANT GET RID OF IT!!!! Parasites- There is a link with candida and parasites. When I was young, I always had a problem with this. Any rectal itching is a BIG sign especially after a BM!!!! When my son was born just last year he had alot of antibiotics. Well now he has a reoccurring daiper rash around his genitals. I put lotrimin on it and it goes away. He also has dandruff, and a constant small daiper rash on his behind that goes away if he hasn't BM'd in a while. I have been giving him some baby probiotics to help balance him out. These are all signs of yeast!! Especially when it is all over the body like this.
