External Candida

External visibility of candida Dear all,
is it possible to have a candida overgrowth not having had a single external sign of rush or anything similar on your skin in any part of the body? Also, when you have it in your gut or esophagus, is it visible through an endoscopy or it may also not being visible at all?

Re: External visibility of candida

Max,

Before i had my endoscopy and colonoscopy i asked the doctor if it was possible for him to see candida during the precedures, he told me if i had candida it would be visible and he often saw it. I felt reasured for a while when he told me he saw none. But when i had gut fermentation test it was positive for small bowel yeast overgrowth. Endoscopy nor colonoscopy reach this area. I have also seen it at the back of my throat, i think rashes are a sign too.

Ann,

thanks a lot for your reply. So, is there a reliable and sre test that tells us wether it is right to be cures for a candida overgrowth or not? For how long have you been struggling with candida? What cure are you or did you follow at the time the overgrowth was diagnosed? Any long term benefits?

Thanks a lot for your support, I appreciate.
Re: To Max Hi Max,

I strongly suspected candida for a long while, but i didnt think it could create the havoc it does. After the colonoscopy/endoscopy gave me the all clear i went to an environmental doc, i did a CDSA which didnt show any overgrowth, but i think this test is mainly for large bowel candida. After this i did the Biolab gut fermentation test which was positive for small bowel yeast, i also failed and still fail the AM spit test, i took LOTS of high dose narural antifungals, Oregano Oil, GSE, Oxypro, Wormwood and Barberry, Pau de Arco, if anything they where only a slight help. I then took Diflucan for about a month, but i didnt feel any better. Many tests are conclusive that i have metal poisoning (Nickel) I think there is usually an underlying reason for candida getting out of hand Antibiotics or in my case it is Nickel, so i think i will struggle with candida untill i can shift the metal. Do you have any metals in your mouth?

Dear Ann,
I have some metals in my mouth, but I have been having them since 1995 without any problem. Do you think they might be my problem? At this stage I would to be sure to have or not to have a candida overgrowth. I think this week I will have a biopsy taken from my bowel during a colonscopy, as the blood test was negative (but many times it is negative, from what they told me here). I am waiting also for the results of the tests carried out on the stools. Two different exams. I hope to have a certain result, I am really depressed with these bad symptoms.
You did not tell many since when you are having problems, how long has it been? What kind of problems do you have?

Re: To Max Max, I have been ill for around twenty two months. It all began with bladder/kidney problems and the antibiotics just compounded my problems, i had (still have some) massive weight loss, constant NAUSEA, dizzyness/weakness, awfull digestive probs, blood in urine, green stools, kidney pain, severe hair loss, breathing probs, total loss of appetite - although i did eat all i possibly could, DRY mouth, burning all over, goutish symptoms, sudden bad eyesight, painfull joints, INSOMNIA, MCS, WORST thing is the food intolerances, i live on meat, broccoli, cabbage, potato (recently added sesame seeds and honey without prob) i forget some symptoms untill they return. I had biopsies taken when i had endoscopy/colonoscopy and they were all normal, in many ways i regret going down the conventional route, as i feel i am now labelled by the medical profession because they declaired me well, I fell out with my old GP months ago, my new is hardly much better, just before christmas he told me my blood test for kidney function shows raised urea, but told me this is maybe because i was dehydrated!!!

I think hair test is good for detecting heavy metal probs, i havent done it because my hair is so thin, at worst it looked like dolls hair with sprigs! I am going to do the sweat test to see if there are any other metals causing problems, this can be done at home now, through Biolab. If you go to Biolabs website you will see what tests are available.
