Skin Fungus
I have had candida infection in my digestive system for a million years. It has been acute, but now for several years, it flares up only when I o.d. on sugars - tropical fruits, honey, maple syrup. Otherwise, I'm pretty much symptoms free. For a week now however, I seemed to have developped a fungal infection of my scalp. Researching a bit on the Internet, it says that these types of fungal skin infections are present in 85% of HIV positive people.
So I am panicking. Does anybody know if that kind of fungal skin infection is only in AIDS? Polly??? Anyone??? Does anyone here have fungal skin infection without being HIV positive?
Hello Marie, fungal infections of the skin affect most people from time to time ..Dandruff is a yeast infection ..There is evidence that points to your gut infection fueling your skin infection.
Treat your gut infection as per Dr Cranton ..My yeast infection went 5 years ago ,so far so good, it hasn't returned Triple drug therapy is certainly the way to go ..and the good news is [if you can call it good news ] the azoles treat mycoplasmal infections including Lyme ..Paul
You are not alone, I have had them for years! I have had a few holes in my skin and get a fungal rash under my breasts. The scalp thing I had even as a child. I use listerine to kill that and it works nicely. It is instantly soothing and works in a few days. I pour it on with my shampoo and work it around a bit. Rinse as usual. I don't have aids and have never been exposed.
