Anal Itching

I have had this problem for a very long time. At the very least 3 years, as I can remember a specifically bad episode of it exactly 3 years ago. I don't think it was sexually aquired, given my only sexual partners were virgins 3 years ago. It seems to come and go, but is present more often than not. It's been very bad the past 2 months. I'm not sure, but I think I may be scratching in the middle of the night and not knowing it. I am definitely more tired the next day after "itchy nights".

Last night it was so bad that I actually noticed light bleeding on the toilet paper shortly after, although it could have (and probably did) happen before without me noticing. I took a mirror and noticed a couple raw spots where it looked like the first layer of skin was removed.

I am right-handed, so much of the itching is done with my right hand, and most of the irritation and rawness is seen on the right side. I don't think that is a coincidence.

I'm not sure what is causing it. I would like to see a specialist, but there are no proctologists local. There are plenty of gastro doctors, I guess that is my next best bet.

One thought was pinworms. The itching does get worse at night, but that is generally seen in other cases too. I do rarely feel a crawling feeling, like something is crawling down there. That could be a sign of pinworms. Perhaps the itching from that is causing secondary infections such as fungal and bacterial which are making it worse. But would pinworms last 3+ years?

The other thought is fungus. I have a history of a lot of antibiotic use, which is why I'm here. I also have Lyme and metals.

I cringe to think it's something like an STD, but I've had it for longer than any time I could have been at risk.

I also have a case of jock itch and had a persisting fungal rash on my penis (confirmed by swab by dermatologist). I wonder if it's all related.

You probably have it all...worms and yeast running throughout the system especially with antibiotic use. Worms go right along with the yeasty environment. It is easy for them to survive. If you have never done a parasite cleanse you should!!! 2x's a day 15 drops of wormwood and 15 drops black walnut! This should help. Do this for about 1-2 weeks. Do it again the following month. If you have them, you will feel them -don't worry!! Lower sugar and carb intake. Lotriman cream on the spots that itch around genitals. Drink KEFIR probiotics 3 or more times per day. AND get on some high potency probiotics (you are looking for 12-14 strains of good bacteria). Start antifungals. Ask herbalist at a natural market. Garlic, pau d arco, oil of oregano, caprylic acid, theives, and many more are all antifungals. Rotate use so that the yeast does not get resistent to it. Have to be disciplined with this if you really want to get rid of it. YEAST HANGS ON!!! Good luck.


Sounds yeasty to me, and if
that's the case clotrimazole
creme will likely help.

Also, at least temporarily
avoid simple sugars in the
diet to see if that makes
any difference. Sugars
will feed the yeast.


Is the jock itch persistant or does it come and go? When do you get the rash...after meals, sex, stress, sunlight?
Any tingling in hands or feet?


I would say it's fairly persistent, but becomes more noticeable after sex or exercise. No tingling in hands or feet, or anywhere in the body for that matter (ever).
