C Salt Questions
Ok.I have a bottle of 500 mg vitamin c and a large bag of celtic sea salt. Do they need to be taken together? How do you take the salt? How much salt? I'm sure I can read the answers to this somewhere on the web, but I feel safer getting it from someone I know has done it. I'll start it today and see how I feel.
Haven't done the protocol and don't know the specifics of it but found this blog link that gives some interesting points on how/why it might work:

Thank you for supplying such great info. I appreciate your reply to my Vit D3 post, as well as this Salt/C blog. Your help means so much.
You're very welcome! :-)
its amazing to me that everyday people have been duped into using processed table salt instead of unrefined rock/sea salt. i really wonder how much illness can be traced back to this simple dietary mistake.
I sometimes wonder what type of salt it was that our ancestors used that was kept in the salt cellar by the stove(I'm thinking of those rectangular glass boxes with lid). Remember my mother buying vinegar from the grocer that was live with the mother and then the offering became distilled. Remember being able to freely purchase raw milk from a farmer one road over from where we lived. I sure don't remember health food stores being where we lived until I was well into adulthood. Better late than never, this finding out truth.
Does sea salt have the same iodine content?
in natural trace amounts yes, but nothing close to the artificial pot iod. added to table salt. you will get different views on this if you do some googling, for example:

my own opinion is that man-made processed additives are what make us unhealthy in the firstplace. if you get a good qaulity sea salt, i wouldn't worry about the iodine issue, it really seems like a non-issue to me.

I agree. I am going to start making my own butter because I am not sure of the salt in my butter, even tho it is organic butter. I don't like non salted butter. Quality sea salt is so important.
take together.
is the c pure asoric acid? it should e. also 1/4 teaspoon of salt i elieve in 1 gram so take 1/8 teaspoon. you may have NO reaction to that ut also may. you just have to say. taking it with a little lemon juice will potentiate it. and take with a full glass of water.
good luck!
My son and I were using the ester c. I didnt know that it mattered
Nope its Esther C, so I will get some acorbic acid today. ok 1/8 of salt, but how much C?
start with 500 grams also. if you get no effect today go to one gram tomorrow which is 1/4 teaspoon.
let us know how it goes!
Wow, take 5 1000 milligram C's and a 1/8 t of salt all at once? I have never taken that much C.
Is there something I should expect to feel?
No that should be 500 mg, or a half gram of vitamin C. Generally, folks equal parts salt and vitamin C by weight.
Also, it may take several days at a particular dose to get a reaction, to be careful. MANY folks feel like they can handle quite lare doses, than days or perhaps a couple weeks later they are hit with a massive herx. You want to be slow and deliberate here, and not give up too easy, either because things are going too well or too poorly.
Oh, lol. I would have been tied to the bathroom w/that other amount, lol!
Ok, I bought the right kind. I'll take it today. Thanks!!
You are cracking me up. Yep, I'd expect at that dose you are gonna feel something. I think you might want to take it slower, or you may be knocked out for a week straight. I am gonna try this too.
W/food empty stomach? Morning, night? Does it matter? I'm kind of nervous, lol

Do you think I could take my iron pill with it, or does empty stomach include that? I try to take iron w/c. Also, is it ok to drink grapefruit juice with this? Looks like I wont do it until tmrw at this point, I thought I was going to have to drive my husband to a chiropractor about an hour away and didn't want to chance feeling sick on the road. I will take it tmrw for sure. Thanks for dealing w/all my questions everyone!
hey sheryl
i honestly don't know aout the iron. ut taking it with the grapefruit juice should e more than fine, since it has vit c.

take care
