hey ruei have to disagree with your post below to jeannie that says c-salt kills only nematodes. i don't have an answer that says what c-salt does, only that we do not know what it does. for some reasons some folks get much better on it (though it seems like most have to stay on a low dose to keep it at bay).
i so wish we knew what the process by which it does it stuff is, but let's face it, we don't have a clue. kurt has some pretty neat theories:

but sadly we still don't know.
i just say this because for some it may do the trick for eliminating lyme (directly or indirectly) and for other s not. i do hope one day we have a clearer sense of how it works because i have been floored by its positive reactions but also scared to stay on it for the long term.

The thought is that the nematode harbors the bacteria in its gut. That reinfects us. Get rid of the nematodes and that cuts off that source of infection.
That is probably why people who have taken antibiotics get better on the salt C.
I agree that we don't know the whole reason for why we get better. But getting rid of the nematodes seem to be the key.

Just to let you both know, I have seen those nematodes come out of me, and not a few,,, hundreds, this scares the heck out of me, and am doing the salt c as of several days ago, and HOPEFULLY I will see them come out again, and maybe I will see some good from the Salt C. I will do it for a year or more, however long I can tolerate it.
I know when I have done the salt C I get the itchy legs, lower left SEVERE mostly, that is the leg where I herx from antibiotics, for babesia and for lyme. My left side.
That is also the side that goes numb when I am in the sun, or now that I react to light, it is the side that is affected, from light, it goes numb, even that side of my head, and around the left eye.
Mighty scary. As well, I have one toenail on the left foot that has fungus on it, it is half of a toe nail, I am leaving it alone, and maybe IF i get well, it will grow back.
All other toenails and fingernails are normal, no fungus, but it is so odd that the LEFT side of me is the side that really gets the herxing... from the antibiotics now, and the Salt C.
