Strong Probiotic

Need a strong probiotic?
Hi guys,
I'm trying to find a strong effective probiotic that will get into my intestines. I was told if you have to refrigerate them, then they are not very good and have a shorter shelf life..
There are sooo many different products for probiotics out there I'm just confused on what is the best for me.. I have severe systemic intestinal candida so I need something with billions of acidophullus/fructosaccrides.. Any
recommendations would be great.
Thanks,

Re: Need a strong probiotic?
I never had too much luck with probiotics but I don't think I agree that refrigerated products are inferior. I always assumed the opposite - that probios that needed to be kept cold were more likely alive than the ones on the shelf. I felt pretty good about American Health probios (though I can't say it cured me).

Re: Need a strong probiotic?
just to give an opposing view (and the dominant view IMHO ;) ) a probiotic with FOS in it is fine IMHO (and good IMHO)

I cant recommend one really (Natren would be my suggestion but they are a bit expensive)

you could check out the prices of natren on froogle

http://froogle.google.com/froogle

there are lots of other brands as suggested too.

Re: Need a strong probiotic?
Healthy Trinity by Natren is very good but very expensive.
Re: Need a strong probiotic?
Kristin, try cultured vegetables. It's working great for me.

Re: Need a strong probiotic?
Hi brett,
I've looked for cultured veges but can't find any around here..
Where do you get them from?? It's probably to expensive to order them online. I'm only working part time and need an inexpensive route.
Thanks,
Kristin

Re: Need a strong probiotic?
I have tried many brands and have found that Custom Probiotics is BY FAR the best for me. wwww.customprobiotics.com. And do Not use anything with FOS as it contains at least 5% sugar. I have been on a diet of spring water, brussel sprouts, asparagus, trout, and chicken. And it has been working great so far. Stick to green veggies for your carbs and no sugars, starches, dairy, or grains. That should give your gut time to heal and starve the little buggars out.

Re: Need a strong probiotic?
Wow, good for you! Now why only those veges or do you also eat other vegetables?? How long have you been doing that diet?? I've tried a caveman diet without grains but I always cave in after six weeks or so.. How do you do it??
Thanks for the information, I will check out that website.

Udo's Super 8
Hi,

I was on long term antibiotics for
lyme disease and the only effective probiotic that worked for me was...

UDO's Super 8

I am in Canada, here it has 30 billion per cap. In the USA it only has 20 billion per cap.

Look up . It is specific for candida. It was and is highly effective for me., You have to refrigerate it,, it is good, well, for me anyways. I have tried many.
Re: Need a strong probiotic?
Kristin, you need to be wary of FOS, in my (and others) experience it feeds yeast, there are plenty of non-FOS based probiotics out there.

kefir
try something natural, very potent and cheap. home made , and/or fermented veggies. natural and good for you. make as much as you can drink.
