Neck Atlas

Aguilar et al.25 carried out a series of chiropractic adjustments on 26 autistic children over a 9-month period. Twelve were found to have a left atlas laterality and 14 had a right atlas laterality. Outcomes from the study were varied but included normalization of deep tendon reflexes and dermatomal subjective sensation, increased cervical range of motion and reduction of other health problems. Many of the children were taken off Ritalin, bladder and bowel control improved, some children started to speak and eye contact and attention span also improved in some children. Hyperactivity and aggressive behaviour were reduced in other children and five children were able to attend mainstream classes at school for the first time. Behavioural data, recorded by the teachers and parents, showed significant improvements in most cases.
Polly,
This is amazing stuff!
We have a NUCCA chiropractor who literally works wonders. I have a friend with a rare autoimmune disease. kind of like scleroderma. She'd gotten to the point where she could barely walk. She credits him with saving her.
I had neurological damage after trying to chelate, such as shaking and jerking and more. I did see a neurologist. NUCCA cleared that up.. My husband has severe osteoarthritis, hip & knee replacement. NUCCA lessens his pain load.
We previously had an Atlas Orthogonal Chiro. He was real disappointing.
I've also gotten amazing results from an excellent cranio-sacral person. I had headaches daily for many years, and just tremendous body stress. When she worked on me, the stress just melted away, and I rarely experience headaches anymore.
Thanks for posting, as usual (all these years).

This kid went from autistic to no longer autistic in 4 weeks by adjusting the top vertebra (atlas).
Note there was a study where they adjusted the other vertebra in the spine but left the atlas alone. They didn't see the same improvement in the kids. Also, please note, a regular chiropractor thinks he can adjust the top vertebra, but he is sorely lacking the knowledge to do so. You need a chiropractor that knows the orthogonal treatment technique or the Blair technique.
Also,
My sister has a very handicapped son - chromosomal damage, plus. He also has symptoms of autism. Over the years he has received chiropractic (including AO), kinesiology, and various massage therapies inluding cranio-sacral that have really helped him. Had we not done these therapies, he'd be a lot worse off.
