Muscle Tremors

Muscle tremors & twitching
There have been comments that magnesium supplements feed Candida...is this so? If you have signs of magnesium deficiency (tremors and twitching) isn't supplementation necessary???

Re: Muscle tremors & twitching
If you can't tolerate magnesium supplement, try bathing in epsom salt. It helps my cramps.
Hope it is not an infection for you, seems more difficult to beat than just magnesium deficiency!
The sulphate in epsom salt is also very important.

Re: Muscle tremors & twitching
Twitching is also symptom of infection . When I tried the full inflammatory blockade with ARBs Olmestarten together with low dose abxs I experienced a strange mixture of lessening symptoms that were inflammatory based with increased symptoms that were infection based The situation took some working out .One of my increasing symptoms was twitching ,, especially noticeable at night, I twitched that much it was like being plugged in to mains electricity. I brought it under control with increased antibiotics Paul

Re: Muscle tremors & twitching
Magnesium should be supplemented with probably any chronic illness. I like taking minerals in solution, so I suggest crushing tablets and dissolving in water, or simply using something the magnesium chloride solution from Allergy Research Group.

Note that the 4 big minerals should probably be supplemented heavily... sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium.I've never seen any evidence that candida is stimulated by magnesium, but there is evidence that the spirochete bacteria primiarily responsible for lyme uses magnesium heavily. Still, the lyme community recommends supping Heavy doses of magnesium given it's importance.

Muscle spasms and twitching is one of the more common symptoms of lyme. I have lyme and have had both of these problems daily for years. Heavy mag supping helps tremendously. ANYONE who has had chronic spasms and twitching should very carefully investigate the possibility of lyme. It is hard to diagnose unfortunately... actually, it's usually a clinical dx made by one of a very few qualified lyme literate doctors in the country.

Candida & Muscle problems
Does anyone have info on candida and muscle problems? When candida gets in the tissue of the muscles, do the muscles get weak, do sprains and strains happen more frequently or this totally unrelated?

If so, is there a treatment.

Do AF cause muscle problems? Problems like easily injured muscles/tendons/ligaments.

I'm very interested to find out if there is anything documented.
Re: Candida & Muscle problems
If muscles are involved and there is no apparent injury that you can attest to the pain, it could likely be fibromyalgia which myalgia means muscle. People that are into alternative health like we are, realize that candida can play a big part in fibro symptoms. Lyme also will cause muscle pain.

Re: Candida & Muscle problems
Do you think it will also cause muscle pulls and strains? I was thinking how osteoporosis ccauses honeycomb to bones which is why an elderly person falls. The bone breaks first and then the fall. Similarly if candida or candida toxins break down muscle tissue, a muscle pull or strain could happen with the slightest movement. That seems to be what is happening to me.
Re: Candida & Muscle problems
As far as AF goes..I am doing the diflucan and I am much weaker than normal while I'm on it. Its freaky.
