Magnesium

oxy powder
I have been taking magesium glycinate. I notice that oxy powder has magnesium in it. Should one stop taking magnesium supplements while on the ?

Too Much Magnesium?
Hi Liz,

That is a great question. I am afraid I do not know. The stickler is, usually loose stools are a signal that you are overdoing mag, but when taking Oxypowder, you are striving for that anyway, so it would be hard to tell using that method.

I looked and saw these signs for magnesium overdose. But, I assume they are with long-term overuse:

Cardiovascular disease, muscle / joint pains, dry skin, low stomach acid, low blood pressure, depression, fatigue, higher risk for several cancers, diarrhea, osteoporosis, joint / spinal degeneration, dehydration, muscle spasms /cramps.

I am sorry I am not more help here. I have not taken Oxy myself, but plan to try it soon. I am not sure what I will do with my cal/mag supp either.

Re: Too Much Magnesium?
I wouldn't be too concerned about it right now. Long term, I don't think anything is good for you in Mega Doses. Besides that information could have been provided by someone within the establishment, who is not really in the know.

I used the oxy-powder, the loose stools are very normal. Besides, you're going to have plenty of loose stools, how do you think your body is going to detox? Don't let them alarm you. As long as they are yellowy in color, and warm, it's nothing more than the body lowering the acid content of the body.

You might want to ask Carl or Carmen though, they seem to be the expert.

Thank for the info, and you are right - those were "establishment" symptoms, lol.

Question: I have read numerous times that yellow stools signal liver issues, in particular, not enough bile. Where did you here it means dumping acid?

In re: acid, my PH strips show a perfect 7.4 saliva alkalinity, but my urine PH fluxuates, mostly reading about 6.5 - 6.75. I am in active detox, and was told that a more acidic urine while the saliva ph is good indicates detoxification. My stools are dark brown. Curious as to your opinion.

Thanks!

Here's my response...
As you and mostly everyone else here knows, I've learned an informal education about this from Kevin and doing my own research and study. The acid dumping I just actually learned from Kevin, due from my own query to him. Brown stools, I'm told, actually mark normal bowel ph. The yellowey and warm stools mark acidic.

I myself have not read the fact about the urine ph being lower during detox, but it sounds very likely due to the fact that toxins will be in the urine making it more acidic. It sounds as though you ought to be well on your way to being clear. How do you feel?

I just finished my 12th liver flush, which didn't really leave me any more than a half a hand full of stones. The way I've been feeling is pretty good. I think I'm on my way to actually being over this thing very soon, hopefully before Christmas. I don't know if you know any of my background or story, but I got this way from too many antibiotics, which caused a systemic yeast infection, that I've had for many years. I just thought I was normal. I always did good in things, made good grades, and was a good kid. I was just "sick" alot.

Now that I'm 24, on the brink of 25, I realize that the way I've felt almost my whole life is in fact not normal or healthy. I look back now and wonder where I would be if I had been able to catch this as child.

Well, I'm glad to say that I'm registered in college again, and feeling better than I have in years. I'm going to be a nutritionist! I can't wait to be finished and bonafide, so I can help people get well and stay well!

Peace, Love, and Godspeed!

Re: Here's my response...
Thanks Jake! Actually, it makes a lot of sense. If yellowy stools signify liver issues (actually this is well-established), and if yellow stools ALSO signify the presence of acids (according to Kevin, and I have no reason to doubt him, even tho I have not heard this before), if one is dumping toxins it would make the stools acidic, plus dumping toxins is also stressful on the liver, so maybe those two things together do make sense.

You ask how I am feeling? I am feeling pretty darn good these days. I too feel total recovery is close at hand. You and Kevin really helped me by stressing PH balance. I got some strips to see where I was at. But the thing that really has made a big diference in recent weeks is that I started using Cell Food, which is said to oxygenate the cells and help normalize PH. I got a bit of die off from it (says it can do this) and then have been feeling better and better.

I also want to study nutrition and become a healer. I had been interested in that since I was about 10 years old as my mom was into it and I read her books and mags, but I got sidetracked in college. Now at age 44, having been thru this, and re-learning how to be healthy, I want to study further. One can't ride this candida train w/o being profoundly impacted, I think.

Re: Here's my response...
It is all related. And everything is going to be determined by Ph. I was skeptical at first, but as my ph goes up, the better I feel!!

Hi Liz, Sans Sucre, Jake and everyone:

I thought I would share this link, because it really is comprehensive. It has been revised recently (warning: long). Metals, candida, and mental issues are mentioned. He explains all the different types of magnesium, which ones are absorbed, which ones are dangerous, etc. I've really learned a lot from it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Julie,
