Low Iron
I assume low iron is a Lyme thing? Mine was as low as 7! BAD! I have been taking iron and its up to 16.
Low Iron can be a thyroid thing as well. That is what mine is from.
You need copper to help uptake the iron. I found that information while trying to understand the thyroid connection. It took me a week and half to go from 32 to 68. With the copper.
The last time I had a low iron it was below 1.

Are you taking a general mineral supplement? Minerals all work together. I tried taking iron with ester-c, and it just wasn't enough. You need a broad spectrum supplement that has vitamins and minerals.
I ordered some GOL womens multi vitamins. I was taking my iron w/c, but I agree, I need more.
I did get my B12 back to normal!
Also, as DPD says, fats are really important overall. I don't like to be overweight, so it is difficult for me to eat a lot of fat, but it really makes your whole body stronger. I don't have access to much raw fat in the way of dairy, so I use nuts, and regular butter, and oils. I don't think that the lymph system can dispel of fat soluable toxins without a fat plentiful diet. The fats wash the bad stuff out.
I eat so much fat. Coconut oil, butter, olive oil, almond butter, macadamia nuts, young coconuts, avacados.
the doctor told me if my cholesterol was any sigh, I was going to live forever. I wanted to tell him I eat about2-4 Tablespoons of coconut oil a day..but I knew he would freak.
Coconut oil is supposed to balance the thyroid. Hmm...I'm going to have to look into this. I know I have had some sort of thyroid imbalance for years, but for it to have such a drastic change in only 4 months is odd. I have been eating the coconut oil for 2 1/2 years.
Wow, you are definately eating fats. Your diet sounds like mine. How are your estrogen levels? I am not sure of your age, but hormones can really influence growths.
I'll be 38 in April. A few months ago, estrogen and progesterone tested perfect. Who knows it its accurate? Personally, I feel like I am estrogen dominant.
The reason why I asked about the estrogen, is because coconut oil made my estrogen dominance worse, as well as almonds, almond butter and olives/olive oil. Alfalfa also really messed me up. This is why I mentioned the fast, a way to clean out your body, and reintroduce everything you are eating in a mono-diet one day at a time. Just a thought.
Wow, that is good to know. I can't stand alfalfa, but I do eat lots of olives, olive oil, coconut oil...thanks Penny! Man..I just spent 115.00 on a case of raw italian olives...
