For those w/Mercury problems
Hi,

Just wondering if you had symptoms of time or spacial problems. As an example, You're a business leader conducting a meeting and you're unable to monitor the amount of time spent on the agenda. It's like you're internal clock is running amok. This is happening to a friend. It's like he's caught in a time warp. I suspect it's mercury poisoning affecting the brain.

Any thoughts on this?
Re: For those w/Mercury problems
Hi Pace,

This is the "old" Judy, (and I'll be even older soon, since I'm a scorpio and have an upcoming birthday.) Anyhow, long time since I've been here.

I tried to chelate (as well as some other unwise stuff) and made myself extraordinarily sick. I was out of commission for about 18 months. One of the many symptoms I've had is time and space disorientation. I became physically disoriented - as like literally not being able to find my way around, and spatially disoriented - as not being able to properly copy a drawing of something or find something on a shelf in front of me.

I've also been severely time dis-oriented to the extent of not knowing the day or date and not knowing if something happened yesterday or 3 weeks ago. I nearly killed myself through improper chelation. -- That's how dangerous it is. And I'm not exaggerating.

I've received incredible help through two very competent old school acupuncturists. Tho' most of me is back to normal, time is still a little strange. It just doesn't pass normally. It is like being stuck in a time warp on Star Trek... It reminds me also of an old episode on the original Twilight Zone.

I don't know how severe your friend is, but he might consider trying acupuncture to see if it helps. One of the doctors I'm seeing has been working on balancing the entire body. He is trying to "put the fire out" - says I have too much internal fire, and trying to increase kidney function and cool down the liver. He's also trying to pull energy down to my feet. They had gone numb and felt like dead weight. He says, "Balance whole body, all will come in line and do its job."

The other acupuncturist looked at me and commented that my pupils were enlarged and said, "we need to get the toxins out." They're both amazing, dear, skilled and knowledgeable 70 year old healers. The Asian acupuncturists work into their eighties, and retirement bores them.

Good luck to your friend. He doesn't need that - I'm sure he's much too young.

Another thing that has helped me is NUCCA chiropractic. I've been to nearly a dozen chiropractors in the last 25 years. NUCCA is different - it is gentle touch on the Atlas at the top of the neck. The goal is to free up the nervous system so it can do its job properly. This has helped my neurological symptoms and brought my feet back into feeling. It's wonderful! They hurt now!

Feeling Alive Again - after an absence from life and reality... I know it sounds melodramatic or overstated, but not so.

Equilibrium: Time/Space continuum
Another thought or theory...

Another set of symptoms I've been having is equilibrium and ear problems. This happened first with IV DMPS (Immediate ear problems- reckless doctor) and ALA (delayed problems).

The acupuncturist is treating me for equilibrium, tinnitis, and hearing. This - or just the memory points or something on the head has helped with the time disorientation. The time/spatial things have improved as the equilibrium has improved. Still have hearing loss and tinnitis. It just made me wonder if time/spatial and equilibrium are related. Spatial stuff certainly seems to be related to equilibrium. This feeling is quite a bit like being overly inebriated. How do you spell that? Now I'm being silly, but drunkenness certainly affects spatial ability, memory and time orientation. Maybe there's something there, or that's obvious?

Re: For those w/Mercury problems
Wow! Judy, you've really been through alot and this was all caused by chelation? WHat kind did you try? Was it with DMPS, DMSA, ALA, Klinghardt's protocol, Cutler's?

This must have really scared you. It would have scared me. THankfully, you found some help and are returning to some normalcy. I am so glad you answered my post. We really do need to be careful with our bodies and how to go about things.

Oh, my, when I consider all you've been through, I'm amazed that you're even hear to tell us about it. Chelation isn't something to take lightly. Did the mercury get redistributed in your body? Did it flood your kidneys, liver? I'm sorry for all the questions. I ask so that others don't get the same results.

Mercola seems to think DMPS is pretty safe. So does my current dr. I'm totally scared of it. www.dmpsbackfire.com has some horror stories. Basically they believe DMPS works in acute cases of mercury poisoning only.

I have heard of NUCCA chiropractic. It's supposedly all based on mathematics and you're right, working wih the atlas bone.

It's good to hear from you,Judy. How is your son's crohn's?
Re: For those w/Mercury problems
Pace/Judy,
just wanted to say that safe forms of chelation (frequent low dose) are *very* safe. And dangerous forms of chelation (e.g. IV DMPS) can be as dangerous as you like.

It all depends on dosage and timing (of doses).

As for the spaciness you describe yes this is can be a classic symptom of mercury. Time tends to pass more quickly when I am chelating, but I actually like that in some ways.
