Liver Cleanse Question
Hi ,
I understand you have done this and wondered if you could help me at all please...
I am wanting to do a liver cleanse and some sound very harsh and like they wipe you out for a couple of days?!
Dr Schulze seems like a gentler liver cleanse but it uses so much fruit and fruit juice?!! I still only really eat lemon, lime and grapefruit and the occasional half papaya and pomegranate. how have other people done this or are there any other suitable liver cleanses that aren't too harsh??
Thanks
Hi April,
I am unable to tolerate any grapefruit juice, but Schulze does say "in an emergency any juice will do." He recommends apple lemon combo. He also says he does citrus in the spring and apple concord grape in the fall. I was very concerned the Candida would have a party with the sugars in the juice. Well, it just wasn't the case. I think between the Detox Tea anti-parasitic herbs, it kept the yeast in check despite the sugars. Once you get the system down and what works for you, it goes pretty well.
I tried various juices and found the one that worked best for me was fresh squeezed orange (4 or them with 1 fresh squeezed lemon). I also added a little stevia and dropped the garlic and ginger from the drink. I had to do it or else I wouldn't be able to get it down.
Also, he is right about needing Concord Grape juice to cover the bitter herbs. I've taken some pretty horrible stuff in my time, but nothing quite as bad as the herbs. So, that meant more Concord grape juice and sugar. It was the only way to get the stuff down.
I am really, really glad I did it. I could definitely see some benefit. I had a really fantastic couple of days. I know I need to do a series to get long term benefit. My liver is really toxic or congested or whatever you want to say. It's not working at optimal levels. I am working on supporting my liver right now and am gearing up to do the Hulda Clark LF. I want to compare the two.
Initially I picked the Schulze cleanse because it seemed more gentle. At the end of the week, I was wishing it wasn't coming to an end. I was just getting the hang of it and starting to feel better after the first half of the week being a little rough.
Make sure your colon is working well. Follow up the LF with a colonic, colema or series of enemas. Make sure if you do the enemas you add a couple teaspoons of salt to two quarts.
I know this is a lot of info to throw at you right now. I suggest you read as much as you can about it. The Detox Tea tastes good, BTW. It reminds me of a cinnamon Christmas tea. I may make up a thermos of it to drink.
ONe good thing to remember. IF you are really having trouble or getting a candida flare, you can always stop at any time.
Well, I hope this helps.
April,
Make sure you take malic acid before you do any liverflushes. You can buy malic acid in tablets so you get the benefit without the sugar from apple or cherry juice.
