Leaky Gut Cause
I started having digestive problems almost two years ago. My physician tested me for practically everything and could only tell me that my ANA levels were positive. Then four months ago my naturopath told me I had leaky gut but did not know the cause. I am allergic to everything, and started to get joint pains. I have been on the diet and several supplements, and am still feeling horrible. I had a stool sample analyzed and my IGA was low, and they did not detect any abnormal yeast. However, I am beginning to wonder if I could still possibly have a yeast problem. Any thoughts?? Much thanks.
I think that you need a more definative diagnosis . A positive ana can signal an auto immune disease. I have had four positive anas and one negative one. IT is important to have the rest of your blood test analyzed. I personally think that systemic or a bad case of candida can cause postive ana readings. It sounds like you might also have some type of rheumatoid condition based on your symptoms. LEaky gut can aggravate all of these conditions.
I have had 2 stool analysis done. They did not show candida even though I am sure that is my problem. The first one showed leaky gut but the second one did not (I had leaky gut treatment in the interim). I think my leaky gut improved whilst I was on treatment but actually reached an all time bad level soon afterwards when my candida was particularly rampant. The second test didn't show this. I have had positive results from treating myself for leaky gut again. I don't think the tests have a high level of accuracy.
