Intense Herxheimer

intense herxheimer For the past couple weeks I've had one of the more intense herx's than I've had in the past year. It started in VERY short order, with this classic neuro-buzz that so many lymies seem to describe. I have come to associate this particular symtoms with lyme activity, not necessarily dieoff. It has routinely developed in the middle of night, during insomniac full moons.

At any rate this started during late afternoon, and soon thereafter my eyes started itching like crazy. The following few days were pretty bad, as I hit the buggers with just about everything I have in my arsenal. The following 10 day I saw a slow improvement.

However, today I feel 10 times better than yesterday. I just went for a bike ride, and even decided to try a few hills on some single track near my home. This is the first time I've done that since 1998 when I spent the summer in ABQ and before my big crash in 2/99.

And now I still have the energy to do a number of things I need to get done in prep to my trip to Europe.

Note that I'm at about 21 months with s/c, but JUST ABOUT EVERYONE talks about the BIG 18 month herx, after which they seem to make profound progress. For some reason, borrelia seems to be on some sort of 18 month supercycle. It is as if the organism doesn't have any choice but to attempt activity.

I did indeed have an 18 month herx, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as this past two weeks. It will be interesting to how things progress in the next few weeks.
Re: dpd Wow! I think congratulations are in order! I'm so glad you're at today instead of yesterday.

Re: dpd yes I'm noticing a bit more activity from you, which is good to see!

Re: dpd ya, i have energy to think and form sentences and stuff... its phenomenal :)

actually not been listening to roe too much lately, not sure why. guess i have been in a more 'silent' mood...

still like him/jim/christina though

don't know if you remember catherine johns (evening host for many many years).... she recently subbed for don wade and roma. was great hearing her again. after getting axed by mgmt, she opened some hypnosis clinics of all things

so u ever listen to roe over the net? how is the talk selection in SF.
Re: dpd on second thought... dont' worry about responding.. we are getting too OT here
