Re: Garlic desynchronises your brainwave
I talked to Klinghardt about this last September. He claims to have known Beck personally, and was never convinced by his information. He did NOT even find the Stanford study Beck mentions.

He feels the brainwaves were altered by mercury (primarily) mobilized by the garlic. He admits that in excess this mobilized mercury can do more damage than any benefit from the garlic, but in adequate amounts the benefits from the garlic outway the mobilized mercury. He feels that freeze-dried such as biopure's garlic caps is higly effective at deactivating numerous viruses, kills giardia and other gut bugs, and in the long run can reduce mercury load.

I've been uncertain about this issue ever since I found Beck's information, probably two years ago. I have a history of bad giardia and TERRIBLE virus problems, and I do indeed believe that biopure garlic has helped me. I have been off and on biopure's and zhang's garlic numerous times, and I never fealt that they caused damage.
However, I've had a lot of problems with large amounts of fresh garlic. It induces bain fog from hell, which I always associated with candida dieoff. Frankly, a number of other antifungals cause the same effect, and candida dumps methyl mercury during dieoff. Thus, it seems plausible that indeed mobilized mercury can be inducing the altered brainwaves.

Whatever the cause of the altered brainwaves, be it garlic induced mobilized mercury or components of the garlic directly, one should be careful
with the dose, as it seems like a dangerous situation in either case. Currently I'm risking that moderate doses of freeze-dried garlic has a net benefitial effect due to the viruses and giardia.
