Raw Foods
so i am trying out the raw food diet...im on day 4 and i have to say when i wake up i dont feel that 'oh shit have i been drinking for 10 days straight?' feeling i always used to get even though i hadnt had a drink...
i also dont have the episodes of falling asleep either during the meal or just after like i always did...really i would be towards the end of a meal and just barely be awake...
plus i have color in my face----im not that ugly grayish yellow im so used to...i actually have pink cheeks!
could there be something to this?
i mean scientifically it makes sense...it makes me feel pretty darn good too - im a very skeptical person-- and dont fall for new-agey fads and people pushing their solutions for healing on me, but if raw works and makes seriously sick people healthy, why not try it? maybe all those annoying bright eyed super happy healthy smiley raw freaks have found their cure?
it is hard i have to say --- but living sick is WAY HARDER and WAY LESS rewarding...
plus----i feel A LOT less sensitive irritated and angry... which is a very good thing..i was worried i might just snap one day soon! haha
ill keep you posted on how its going... hope you are all well...
and let me know if anyones found any results on raw food...
I need to cook a fair amount of the food I eat because the powers of my digestion are not that strong. I think people who do well on raw food eating long term, probably could digest plywood without any indigestion. Short term raw food eating is another matter. I usually do raw food eating for a period in the summer months, and that seems to work well for me as long as I don't do it too long.
Lauren, that's great. I know what you mean about the color in your face when you are sick. You described it perfectly. You should add cultured vegetables to every meal and see what happens. I will never be without them.
Lauren, I couldn't help but laugh out loud when I read your post, I know exactly what you are talking about, just like somebody has snuck some sleeping drug to you. I think mine is wheat, try an elimation diet and you will find the culprit, also go to foodintolerance.com for some similar stories.
