Fibromyalgia
I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My body feels like it's on fire. From the scant reading that I've done, there appears to be a connection between candida and fibro.
Does anyone have fibromyalgia? Could you please share what you did that provided you w/ relief?
Thanks,
A nutritionist told me that fibromyalgia is candida in the muscles.
Some fibromyalgia patients found great relief with Malic Acid and Magnesium treatment.
People with fibromyalgia benefit from swimming but the water needs to be 86 degrees (warmer than pools used by athletes and recreational swimmers)
Grace,
Thank you for your reply. My body does love magnesium. I take a supplement and also take long baths in epsom salts.
I love to swim but can only swim in the summer because of the chlorine in the pools. One pool in my neighborhood said that they only added a touch and that the water was mostly salt water. Well, as soon as I walked in the building I was overcome w/ the chlorine.
It makes sense that fibro is candida in the muscles. I'm working w/ an integrative MD and a naturopath. The MD wasn't very helpful and the naturopath ordered me a supplement to try. It should be here this week.
Thanks again,
Thanks to Tove and Steve, also, for your suggestions.
Hi Lu,
I found a different pool in my area to use. It works better than the old one because of better air circulation. I found Nexxus Aloe Rid shampoo removes the chlorine from my skin & hair very effectively.
Grace,
Don't the fumes from the chlorine bother you? I immediately have a reaction. I short-circuit, shake, etc. That is what is keeping me from swimming in a pool.
At my other pool I became weak, faint, chest pain/asthma and difficulty breathing. I literally could only take a few steps or my knees would buckle and I'd fall. At this new pool, the air circulation is different. It doesn't smell like chlorine although I know they use it. I don't have the difficulty breathing or weak, faint feeling. I do not understand it at all. It really doesn't make any sense that I would react to one pool one way and another pool another way. But then again, there are so many weird unexplainable things with this illness.
I am thankful to swim.
Fibro = muscles myalgi = pain. It is a symptom not a diagnosis with a cause such as measles.
I had lots of musclepain and lots of the other symptoms common to fibro.
Do you eat glutenfree and milk free? Try that.
Do you have vulvar pain and/or pee often? Try low oxalic diet.
I got rid of some of my pain with www.bailine.com - first time free. I didn't use all ten hours I paid for, because the less pain made me be able to excercise and hte excercise made more pain go away.
Also I do everything else: eat low carb (in fact no starch), eat low oxalic, eat lots of fermented vegetables and take lots of vitamines (Empower+)
I took thyroxin but not any more, took cortef but not any more took adrecort but was unable too, will try again soon
hope you find out the problem!
Its feasible (although not proven scientifically) that whatever causes fibromyalgia can at the same time generate other symptoms and other problems, candida included
Indeed, it could be that fibromyalgia ia a result of Candida, which itself is a result of (an)other insult(s) to the body that impair the immune system. For example, chronic exposure to environmental toxins, toxic mould or hidden allergies
