Saurkraut

Do you ever use Bubbies saurkraut? I can't get deep roots again, so I'm eating Bubbies. I acutally like it more, it's really tart.

I'm going to have to start making this stuff on my own, I am going broke. I have the book Wild Fermentation and I just need to bite the bullet.


Hi Sheryl, I eat Bubbies all the time, Whole Foods has it for $3.79 a jar. I prefer Deep Roots though. How come you can't get it up there? I hope they keep making it, I can't wait to get back so I can have more variety. p.s. tried some Rejuvinative recently, didn't like the taste and way too expensive

I have no idea what is up w/Whole Foods. They carry it and it sells like crazy..then they discontinue it, people complain, they bring it back, it sells and they get rid of it again!

I love the Bubbies tho. It's great in sandwiches.


Sheryl, I bought a variety pack online from Deep Root and it cost $48! The spiced carrots are awesome, have you tried those?


My health food store has Bubbies products but they are not cultured.. How do you know if they are cultured?? Does it usually tell you on the jar??


Kristin, most all of Bubbies products are cultured, but they may not say so on the jar. (I called the company and even the relish is cultured). Try the saurkraut!
