Eye Gunk

I posted Sunday and asked about Candex, but no one answered me until last night - so I just went ahead and did my own little research and started the candex on Monday.

In the past when I've done good on the anti-candida diet and have been able to reverse symptoms, I noticed they got better in reverse order, so the most recent went away first. It actually took longest to get rid of the vag. yeast infection.

I have been doing extremely BADLY for about 5 years! I can't believe I've done this to myself, I've gained a lot of weight and let the yeast get way out of control.

My most recent symptom, which I didn't even realize may have been a symptom, is the eye gunk.

Over the past few months, I've noticed that I am producing a lot of the eye gunk and when I remove it, sometimes it comes out like a string, and it feels like I'm pulling a thread out of my eye. When this first happened, it was right about when all the news was coming out about the new eye infection going around and I do wear contacts.

I got a new contact case, a new pair of contacts, new solution, and went about 3 days without contacts to clear it up - but that didn't really have much effect.

The gunk has got worse over the past couple of week, I'm waking up with it just caked on my eyes, but it isn't crusty like you would think, it's moist and stringy.

Ok, so I started the Candex on Monday. Yesterday, Wednesday, I noticed that the stuff wasn't stringy. This morning, there was quite a bit less gunk.

I've also woke up the past 2 mornings with a lot of "crud" on my lips and just inside my mouth.

I'm hoping that it's the Candex killing stuff off - a lot of people have had help from it, so why not me too? Part of the reason I let this go for the past 5 years was because I felt hopeless, like it didn't matter because nothing I did ever got rid of it completely. Now I realize that getting it even partially under control is way better then letting it get to this point.

I used to be a regular here, the only names I see that I recognize from before are Polly & Brett (the one from Ohio).

I have a couple of post below about candex. I really like it and have found that it is the best thing I have tried so far. It was recommended in the lyme strategies group. I wasn't to sure about it.

But when the candida got out of control in May I started on the strict diet again and candex. I just finished my 2nd month and feel much better. I have lost 10 lbs. and have more energy.

Are you getting yours at iHerb.com? They had the best price I could find for it. $38 for a month worth.

I got my Candex at a local store, I'm not sure the price on a months worth, I think it was around $35, but I'll have to go back to check it out. I bought the smaller bottle to try it first, I think it was $24.99 - I took the price sticker off so my husband wouldn't see it! Of course, if it's going to work for me, he's going to say to buy it no matter the cost - because that means he can get what he wants more often. lol.

Have you stuck strictly to the 2 hours before & after eating rule? I have skipped taking it since Friday night, because our schedule has been screwed up and I couldn't take it on an empty stomach. I was wondering if I should take it anyway, religiously - just to keep the process going, even if it's not as effective with some food.

I have already noticed a difference - so I'm hoping things continue to get better. The eye gunk I mentioned in this post is just a minor annoyance at this point, it's the yeast infections that never go away that and about 50 pounds of fat that I'd like to see big help with.

Eye gunk for me is a result of leaky gut. I think it is sensitivity to the candida poisons leaving the digestive tract. It is at its worst when I have die off and when the candida re-establishes some kind of control after some die off. I suggest you treat your self for leaky gut as it is hard to get well while leaky gut is severe I think.
