Enzymes
Anybody take enzymes?
I take digestive enzymes and like RenewLife's DigestMore. After the age of 30 our digestive enzymes become depleted and can need some help. Before I started taking digestive enzymes, I felt like food was sitting in my stomach for hours. Digestive enzymes stopped the heartburn and acid reflux. Treatment with Garden of Life's Primal Defense probiotic remedied chronic constipation. I'm now treating a intestinal issue (See 10/11/06 post.) with a high dose cellaluse enzyme that is melting a fungal/yeast out of my intestines.
You betcha. I love Digest Gold. I swear they changed my digestion for the better in a big way. I also take them sometimes when I take supps between meals, as I figure it helps them "get in" better. My nutritionist a while back said they also help if you want to cheat, so the stuff pushes through faster and thus hang around less in gut causing allergies, etc.
Are these different from other digestive enzymes?
Expensive but worth it IMHO is Digest Gold. Supposed to work on all types of meals (carbs, proteins, fats) where some formulations are geared towards one or another.
I am taking garden of life omegazyme right now. I dont notice much yet.
i do take them with each meal,i could not eat without them, they work very well with me.
I take one enzyme capsule at bed time to try and help out with any undigested food - I hope! I don't know if it really helps but I feel better generally?!
I tried lots of different kinds, and
they never helped me at all. I'm sure
they help some people, but for me I'm
forced to conclude this simply means
I'm not enzyme deficient.
