Strep Bacteria

reoccurring strep bacteria-Help! Please help! My son, who is 15 months old, got a resistant strain of strep bacteria which could cause pnemonia and serious ear infections. This followed a complete course of antibiotics for a staff infection earlier on. AND not to mention all of the antibiotics that he has had when he was first born. Back to the strep- He was on antibiotics(for strep)called suprax and the sickness seemed to clear up. When we went in for a follow up and cultured his nose again, they found that it was still there. The doctor put him on another round of antibiotics (augmentin) explaining that even though he seems well and normal, they don't like kids under 5 to be strep carriers(even though adults carry it all of the time). He also said that if the oral antibiotics don't seem to clear the problem, then he will have to get antibiotic shots. After this round I still hear the congestion in his nose. I know if we culture it will still be there. I took him to an Ear Nose Throat specialist and he said to keep him off the antibiotics and feed him less grains because the grains actually feed the bacteria! Has anyone heard this before? I know it feeds yeast but I haven't heard that about bacteria. I asked if the strep bacteria goes untreated would this go to his heart? He said that if something like that were to happen he would be very sick which he isn't -he is totally normal. He said come back when he is sick! I have two different opposing opinions here. Does anyone know. I have candida and in my right mind I can't keep breaking down my kids immune system with all of these antibiotics. Please help

Re: reoccurring strep bacteria-Help!
You might want to try an herbal narural antibiotic such as olive leaf and echinacea. They kill bacteria, viruses and fungus. It comes in liquid form. You can buy it at a healthfood store, you also can get it on the internet. Since he is so young you would just give him 1/4th the adult dosage that is listed on the bottle. You can mix it with honey to make it taste better. Do not mix it with sugar. Also give him a good acidophilus, country life makes good products and have an acidophilus supplement for children, and feed him a good brand of yogurt to build up his immune system. Noni juice is also very good for the immune system and to help him fight this infection. Also keep him away from sugar, its not good for the immune system. God Bless.

There is also a throat spray with collodial silver in it that you can get at health food stores that is said to kill streph. Berberine herbs are also good for killing the streph bacteria. If this doesnt work, he may need antibiotics.Steph infections can cause problems if not cured. They can affect the heart and kidneys so you want to take it seriously.

Thank you so much for responding! I don't know how I would be able to get him to gargle now, but I could definately use that for myself as well as for him when he gets older. Thank you so much for the tip. I am always up for home remedies without antibiotics.
