Hullucinations

candida audio hullucination l was at the health store today and was speaking to lady there abt what l was experiencing she mentioned it was , l havent felt comfy talking abt it till now . but it occurs when l get ready to fall asleep . l will hear noises example like a loud buzz or a smack, different sounds,It usually only happens 1-2 times b4 falling asleep . l know its has to be candida related never happened before. l just know lm feeling alot of strange things mentally and physically.l would like to find info, on the if anyone has a link, or words of wisdom. thanks ..T

Re: audio hullucination/tinnitis
I have to read dpd's comments at length, but wanted to add:

What you describe sounds like tinnitis. You might research tinnitis. Auditory hallucinations might be if you "hear" someone talking when no one is there.

I have severe tinnitis, I'm trying to get rid of. I do think fungus is a factor in it, but you might want to see an ENT - ear, nose, and throat doctor for ear exam.

Good luck. My ear is calling!!

Re: audio hullucination/tinnitis
hi judy, l will look into that altho, lm not hearing voices its just sounds like smashing glass or metal clinging strange noises and so far it only happens when lm getting ready to go to sleep and lm relaxed its not every nite , but still very unnerving. thanks for everyones support...T

Re: audio hullucination
I've heard "buzzing" hallucinations, which after YEARS of searching turned out to be lyme disease.

WHENEVER your body succumbs to candida overgrowth, it's a sign that something systemic is wrong, and that to some degree your immune system is not functioning well. It's also a sign that your weekened to a hell of a lot more bugs than candida. Candida overgrowth does not come by itself, and you'll save yourself a lot of time if you search for other infections. Also, you'll save yourself time if you start to address the fundamental problem... that is, if you start to rebuid your body/immune system.

Bugs to be on the lookout for:

1) LYME!!! It is scary how common lyme is and how many folks NEVER get properly dx'd. The vast majority of lyme patients are currently NOT diagnosed.

2) Common lyme tick-borne coinfections including MOST IMPORTANTLY BABESIA. If you have had any problems with night sweats, fevers, chills, insomnia (particularly around full moons), vivid nightmares, you need to find a good lyme literate doctor to get evaluated for babesia. Other tick born infections include ehrlichia, bartonella, brucella, and ricketsia.... there are others though. Ticks suck!!

3) toxoplasmosis (particularly if you have a cat) and giardia. These can be hard to find, as stool tests have degraded in quality tremendously over the past couple decades.

4) Worms of ALL kinds and varieties. Tape worms, and liver flukes included.

5) Many species of viruses including CMV, EBV, HHV-6, and others. HHV-6 in parcicular can lead to the types of immune suppression that directly leads to candida and parasite overgrowths.

6) Other gut bugs including blastocystis hominus, klebsiella, clostridia, and more.

7) mycoplasmas

Now I realize this list can sound daunting, but focusing on candida alone in the vast majority of candida cases is a big mistake. Candida is as much a symptom as it is a cause of problems.

Regarding addressing the fundamental problem, i.e. immune suppression, you should consider the following:

1) SUPPORTING YOUR BODY'S PH. ALL of these bugs naturally start to propogate at lower (acidic ph's.) They are in part components of the ecosystem designed to break down dead organic matter, which becomes very adicic once the oxygen flows are reduced. Thus eating dead food, btw, naturally supports these nasty bugs. Eating food that's alive will by it's very nature help support normal ph's.

Aggressive ph support could include: Huge amounts of fermented foods (I'm making my own), lemon/lime juice taken many times throughout the day, supplementing realsalt, and magnesium to bowel tolerance. Potassium salts are essential. Gerson's compound potassium salts were specifically desinged by Gerson to promote intracellular ph to address cancer, which requires intrecellar low oxygen and low ph. Also, juicing carrots with granny smith (juiced TOGETHER) apples in a good quality juicer will render the potassium in the carrots more bioavailable. Juicing LOTS of organic veggies, herbs, greens, etc will help promote proper ph for that matter. Taking coral calcium TOGETHER with a good quality chlorella, right before bed and long after eating, can help. Trisalts taken in moderation before bed can also help. Small amounts of Rubidium salts can be incredibly helpful.

Moderating proteins is important, but proteins are incredibly important here so they should not be eliminated. Grass-fed red meats are good, eaten a few times a week with plenty of raw (preferably fermented) veggies.

2) CONSUMING HUGE AMOUNTS OF ENZYMES. Enzymes help you digest foods, clean out impacted gut matter, literally kill some bugs by dissolving them, clears out debris in the blood, and reduces systemic inflamation.

The fermented veggies are inredibly helpful here, as they are loaded with enormous amounts of enzymes generated by the culturing bacteria. Raw organic pineapple and papaya also have a lot of useful enzymes. I'm going to start juicing both soon in small amounts with cultured veggies. The culture bacteria and enzymes will help reduce candida-related problems from the sugars in the fruits (as long they are taken in small quantities.)

Raw LIVE foods in general will have many viable enzymes.

Lumbrokinase or nattokinase or serrapeptase

The auditory hallucinations is caused by neurotoxins. These can be environmental neurotoxins such as pesticides, but no doubt toxins either generated by bugs such as the lyme spirochete or babesia are involved, or
heavy metals are involved, or both. Lyme bugs deplete to the body of nutrients necessary in detoxing heavy metals, so you find that it's common for lyme patients to naturally accumulate heavy metal toxins.

Sorry, I posted before I was done
Lumbrokinase or nattokinase or serrapeptase are enzymes that help thin the blood. Bugs like lyme can help generate a hypercoaguability condition that benefits them. These enzymes help reduce this problem. Curcumin from turmeric is also helpful here.

Digestive (proteolytic) enzyme supplements can be helpful in moderation. Note that in excess though they can digest the protective mucous lining in the gut, so don't take too many. Betaine HCL can also help here.

Note that somach acid is made from water, carbon dioxide, and SALT. Thus, if you are depleted in salt you will likely have low stomach acid. MANY of us are on the salt/c protocol for lyme disease/worms, and we've found that salt/c helps digestion tremendously. Undoubtedly, (merely) ONE of the reasons for this correlation is increased stomach acid production.3) HELP OXYGENATE THE BODY. Exercise in SUFFICIENT MODERATION for you condition is helpful here. Overdoing it though is acid-forming. Exercise therefore needs to be done with proper ph support. Hiking uphill is perhaps one of the better forms if you can handle it.

Breathing deeply in general is helpful.

Niacin, taken to the point of flushing, helps tremendously to increase blood flow. Germanium Sesquioxide in moderation increases blood oxygen carrying capacitiy. Maintaning proper blood ph is CRITICAL here. Note that bicarbonates (in baking soda for example) are used to buffer blood ph, so taking pharmaceutical grade baking soda's or trisalts before bed helps normalize the blood ph and blood oxygen carrying capacity while you sleep.

4) CONSUME ENOUGH GOOD FATS. Saturated fats actually help kill a lot of those nasty bugs listed above. I eat a TB of coconut oil several times a day; this also helps keep your weight down, believe it or not. Fish oil daily in moderation. Evening primrose oil a couple times a week in moderation. EAT AS LITTLE COOKED OR RANCED FATS AS POSSIBLE. Note that unsaturated fats are FAR MORE prone to becoming rancid than saturated fats. Raw GRASS-FED butter is chock full of good stuff.

Also, get sufficient sun light without burning. This along with some cod liver oil helps maintain vitamin D levels.

5) Consider broad spectrum antimicrobial modalities. Salt/C, biopure garlic caps (less aromatic) and/or Zhang's allicin (not so less aromatic), good quality colloidal silver such as argentyn 23, Sea Gate olive leaf caps and/or Gaia brand olive leaf tincture, black walnut hull tincture from http://drclarkstore.com/, and Arise and Shine parasite herbs, and Beck's blood electrifier are among my favorites. Taken together they address a HUGE number of the bugs listed above.

Now Regarding the Heavy Metals....

The auditory hallucinations is caused by neurotoxins. These can be environmental neurotoxins such as pesticides, but no doubt toxins either generated by bugs such as the lyme spirochete or babesia are involved, or heavy metals are involved, or both. Lyme bugs deplete to the body of nutrients necessary in detoxing heavy metals, so you find that it's common for lyme patients to naturally accumulate heavy metal toxins.

I've had a hard time with treatments for heavy metals. I had to start treating babesia before I could even handle chlorella, but now I feel biopure chlorella is one of the MOST important things I've done. Note that chlorella is highly effective at mopping up many types of heavy metals, and primarily acts in the gut. According to my doctor, systemic chelators should be used ONLY after many of the bugs are cleared out, such as the lyme family of tick born bugs.
However, He's a HUGE believer in taking the chlorella throughout. Also, if you take coral calcium, there may be some heavy metals in there; this is one reason for taking coral ca with chlorella right before bed. This way the chlorella absorbs (some... hopefully most) metals in the coral ca, and if you take the combo long after eating it won't interfere with digestion by neutralizing stomach acid.

My primary points here are threefold... First, with the audio hallucinations, I'd highly recommend researching lyme.

Second, don't believe for a second that if you have candida, it's your ONLY problem. Candida is no doubt a HUGE problem, but it is opportunistic and so are a ton of other bugs under the same circumstances. You can help alter these conditions by supporting ph, consuming live food, consuming a TON of enzymes, eating properly in general, etc.

3) A lot of these things are NOT expensive or hard... i.e. they are available to most people. You can make your own cultured veggies, and organic cabbage is incredibly affordable. Salt/C is relatively cheap and AMAZINGLY helpful for many. Garlic and OLE can be reasonably affordable. Farmer's markets can be your friends for live, organic food. A beck blood electrifier isn't too expensive. Some folks make their own colloidal silver. Trisalts are cheap. Sodium bicarbonate from hulda's site is cheap. Turmeric is cheep; good quality curcumin is a bit more. A good quality juicer such as Green Star is a big initial expense, but I've had mine working almost daily for 5 years or more. Organic lemons/limes aren't too expensive. Tropical Traditions Coconut oil and Carlson Fish oil will be affordable to most.
Re: Sorry, I posted before I was done
dpd, I've been on this site for many years, and you've convinced me that Lyme is at the core of my problem, and that Candida is a complication from it. I started reading a bit about Lyme, and at this moment I am convinced that as a young teenager, I got bitten by an infected tick and have been suffering from it ever since. I can remember as a teenager being outdoors for a while in an area with alot of ticks and at that time observing migrating arthritis in my joints (classic Lyme). I also rember an odd rash on my leg (but can't remember whether these occured at the same time). I have way too many of the classic Lyme problems not to look into this very seriously. I've started the process of looking for a Lyme doctor for confirmation, and if it turns out to be the case, I really have you to thank for pointing me in the right direction. We'll see.

Re: Sorry, I posted before I was done
Good Luck with this Niles. Remember, good llmd's are hard to find, so recommendations are incredibly helpful.

Let us know how things proceed as you get more info.

BTW, if all else fails, trying the salt/c protocol and observing the reactions might prove as helpful in your dx as anything.

Re: Sorry, I posted before I was done
dpd - Over the last couple days I've contemplated my history and researched more about Lyme, and am now virtually at 100% certainty that a couple decades ago I got Lyme disease and never knew it (Lyme was just being understood at that time). I remember the rash, behind my knee, the migrating arthritis, the long, slow decline in my health, and over the years have suffered from debilitating arthritis, heart problems, memory issues, fatigue, cognitive problems ...in short all the hallmarks of Lyme disease. I'm kind of stunned right now realizing that many of my very difficult struggles in life were not due to all the things I blamed them on (often myself), but on Lyme disease. My symptoms and the symtoms of untreated Lyme disease are a perfect match. I'm truly stunned right now. I want to thank you for shedding light on the Lyme issue, because I'm 99.99% certain, that had you not repeatedly cautioned folks to consider the Lyme diagnosis as the underlying cause of Candida, I would have gone to my grave not knowing the truth of my health struggles. And even though knowing the Lyme diagnosis may not physically help me at this point, I still am better off knowing that alot of my life's struggles were not quite my fault; that there was a sinister and invisible force at play, and that is worth alot. With much appreciation.

Re: Sorry, I posted before I was done
Thanks for the kind words Niles!

I can relate to your story. I believe I picked up my tick coinfections in the mid 80's, and I wouldn't be surprised if contracted borrelia much earlier, perhaps even being born with it. And over the years I've had a number of problems that just never added up until the lyme dx.

Good luck with your investigation from this point, and keep your spirits up. There are folks who have had lyme for decades and are now making HUGE strides in dealing with the disease. I highly recommend you monitor the lyme strategies group, and perhaps the lyme-and-rife yahoo group as well.

Re: Sorry, I posted before I was done
thanks dpd. for tking the time to write all that info for me. this all is very draining emotionally and physically l will try to do better w/ my diet.

Re: Sorry, I posted before I was done
Are you taking any other perscription medication, Teresa? I ask because certain ones that are supposed to affect the nervous system have been known to cause this, too. For example, anti-anxiety medications in the class of benzodiazepines are known to cause what sounds like a large rubber-band snapping inside your head.

Take a look at everything you're ingesting ... it might not be the candida at all.

BTW, I always take comments made by health-food store employees with a grain of salt. made on bulletin boards, however ... ;-)

Re: Sorry, I posted before I was done
hi kate. l do have one med. lm taking but l dont think its related l am suppose to tk it 3xs aday for my nerves but l tk 1/2 a pill maybe 1-2 times a week if that. l really think its fungal related lve been cheating on my diet . these sounds started abt 4-5 mths ago.

Re: Sorry, I posted before I was done
Well, you know your body better than anyone else, and your intuition about the cause of the sounds is most-likely the culprit.

At the same time, it's important to rule out meds, as particular ones are known to cause a similar symptom.

It's too bad that you're going through this. Best wishes for finding a resolution soon. It must be disturbing.

Kate
