Candida
I believe I have been is suffering from Candida for years, but from the personal research I have done leads me to conclude that live Candida can only truly live and thrive in the digestive tract. It can enter the bloodstream, but once there, it dies. You must have an extremely weak immune system for it to survive in the blood. Once it dies, it becomes toxins. It is the toxins from the Candida that makes you sick, not the Candida itself. Therefore system candida does not exist and makes no sense. The key to getting rid of candida is good digestive health. A healthy digestive tract is the key. More to come........
Sheryl, when candida overgrows in the gut it starts forming strings (Hyphae), these strings can invade mucous membranes, bore through the gut wall entering the Lymph system spreading through the whole body forming masses and putting down roots. This is a very tough problem to deal with when it gets to this stage.
Systemic Candida is a life threatening infection that can occur when the immune system is sufficiently compromised that it can no longer mount a response to invading Candida. Patienrts with systemic Candida will be immediately admitted to hospital and treated with powerful IV anti-mycotics
Intestinal Candida is basically caused when the intestinal flora is compromised and the immune system is unable to respond adequately. Symptoms include chronic fatigue, IBS, headaches etc and are typically caused by Candida's metabolic byproducts. Intestinal candida will also cause malnutrition as it interferes with absorbtion of trace minerals and vitamins. Intestinal Candida overgrowth is a devastating illness but nowhere near as serious as a systemic yeast infection
you are right!
