Severe Gerd

Hi, I just stumbled upon this forum and am happy there is a place to go for information about yeast, and people who are knowledgabel. I'm a 21 y/o female; I have suffered all my life with yeast infections almost weekly, chronic sinus infections (atleast 3 a year) and G.I. upsets. For the past 6 years I have been on antacids and blockers (zantac, prevacid, currently 80 mg Nexium) and they all have pretty much stopped working. I am in agony every day, I can't eat hardly anything and have been to dozens of doctors with no help.
I started researching Candida overgrowths and I'm pretty sure it's the root of all my problems, including Fibromylagia. For the past month I have been bed ridden and stopped working/going to school because I have been so sick. I've lost about 10 lbs and nothing helps the constant burning, gas, and nausea I have. I have an endoscopy and they found nothing wrong.
Today I am going out shopping with my father to buy a strict anti-yeast diet and some probiotics. The thing is I have always eaten healthy and taken many vitamins. I am guessing I have leaky gut syndrome too and its why they dont get absorbed.
I am at my wits end with this and would like an enlightenment on what to do. I have been in a major depression and I'm tired of being sick.
My question is, is it okay to continue Nexium or zantac while on the yeast elimination diet? I suffer as is, but even more to the point of being unbearable when I dont take them.

Have you ever been evaluated for Helicobacter Pylori? HP is an organism that lives in the mucus lining of the stomach and causes severe inflamation and possibly ulcers. Indeed many doctors believe that its HP and not excess stomach acid that are responsible for ulcer formation. Here's a website that provides comprehensive HP info


Thanks Steve, yes I have. I had my blood tested as well as a biopsy from my stomach and it was negative.
