Epsom Salts

epsom salts bath
Has anyone felt pain in their legs after doing an epsom salt bath or detox shower with it?

Someone answered...
I had pain following epsom salts baths. Sometimes it was so severe I couldn't walk. Then I found out to increase my water by at least 4 cups in the morning before having an epsom salt bath. If I forgot, I made sure to drink 8-16oz before getting out of the tub.

Heavy metals are the most common cause of leg pain I'm aware of.

Epsom salts provide sulfates, and sulfates are not only critical in detox problems associated with heavy metals, they are usually severely depleted in heavy metal toxic folks as a result. I would highly suspect you're mobilizing metals with the sulfates.

Note also that the heat of the baths used to cause me neurosymptoms, including pinpricks. I've since come to realized this was due to killing borrelia, as the borrelia succumbs at approximately 104 degrees, and released neurotoxins including probably heavy metals in the process. This might be a factor here too... borrelia releasing neurotoxins resulting to leg pain.

Be sure and be well hydrated and have enough electrolytes before or after the bath. One of those mineral vitamin c drinks can help with this and drink water afterward. You shouldnt try to do anything except rest after an epsom salt bath. Are you able to tolerate brocolli or other foods that are sulfer related?

Thanks, I had the epsom salt baths at bedtime, i blammed toothpaste to begin with, then i changed to natural one, then bicrb, then it dawned on me it WAS the baths, the reaction got more pronounced each time. I can eat broccoili and cabbage i eat them every day, i run into trouble with foods when i try to reintroduce them after eliminating them, its just impossible. I know i would be much better wthout broccoli/cabbage but i have so few foods to eat...it really is catch 22.

I went through a phase where I lost ALL foods I was eating. At the bottom, every weekend I had to drive to numerous ethnic neighborhood searching for new foods.

I also had SEVERE reactions to epsom salt baths. They made me incredibly SLEEPY, nauseous, and generated "pinpricks" all over my body.

In the nick of time I found out I had a SEVERE giardia infection. This infection was compromising the lining of my gut, and a leading contributer to leaky gut and subsequent food allergies. Studies from South America have shown a high correlation of giardia to food allergies.

Finally, since this time I have found that I have SEVERE heavy metal toxicity, babesiosis, and lyme (borreliosis) disease. The borrelia depletes your reserves of glutathione, a nutrient necessary for detoxing heavy metals among other things. Treating the babesia is now allowing me to pursue a heavy metal detox program that previously made me ILL.

I've recently realized that the epsom salt reaction were due to the lyme disease. You can kill borrelia with heat, even at temperatures found with saunas and hot baths. Symptoms of killing borrelia usually include fatigue and often include "pinpricks." Note that borrelia heavily influences magnesium and sulfate chemistry so the Epsom salts play a role here also, but the mechanisms are unclear to me.

The Lyme, heavy metal toxicity, and food allergies at some point all feedback into each other. They become individual pieces of a big puzzle, and very naturally lead to candida overgrowth. Each person with severe food allergies will HAVE many issues, beyond but definitely including candida overgrowth.

It's your job to start unravelling the puzzle. Note that in my opinion, EVERYONE WITH THESE PROBLEMS MUST GO TO GREAT LENGHTS TO RULE OUT LYME MOST IMPORTANTLY, BUT ALSO HEAVY METAL TOXICITY, AND GUT PARASITES. I've seen these all come together in folks FAR too many times to ignore, and it's clear that lyme is currently massively underdiagnosed!!!

Hi,

You really have gone through the wars, what a lot to have to deal with. How long have you been fighting all this? How do you feel now compared to how you felt at your worst? How is your diet now? How did you find out about the giardia?

I have awfull MCS but the food intolerances are by far the worst to have to deal with, its awfull been thin and not been able to eat much, i have tried lots of exotic foods, but after i have eaten them a few times i am reacting. After seventeen months of constant nausea it is just starting to abate. This last couple of months things seem to have stablised to meat and four veg and recently the eggs. I did CDSA last year, it missed the candida that was later picked up on gut fermentation, so i wonder what else it missed. I just hope that all i am taking will deal with parasites or bacteria too.

I have been taking for the last five to six weeks Oxypro, Biocidin (GSE) Wormwood and Barberry, Oil of Oregano, Pau d arco and recently added Aloe vera, this last week i have just started to have very itchy lower legs, they itch untill they bleed, plus itchy eyes and ears, also i have had such intense sugar cravings i could climb up the wall, i have not had these symptoms since before i HAD TO stop eating grains sugar etc due to allergy/intolerance. I just cant decipher if i am reacting to antifungals or if this is die off, as long as its just sneezing, itching, etc i can put up with it, but i get worried when i get kidney pain and blood in urine (i think this is when metals are been released)

I know i have a nickel/mercury problem and i am taking lots of IR saunas and Sun Chlorella. Four months post removal red cell nickel should be less than 5 and it was 8.4.

Hi,

You certainly have a lot to deal with and I commend you for your clear thinking and perseverance.

I do not know if this will help you or not but I wanted to tell you something that helped me reduce my food reactions and allergies. I started taking Primal Defense very slowly. Gradually I worked up to 15-20 capsules per day. I stayed at that level for about one month. Afterwards, if I took 3-4 PD before or with a meal, I could digest it without a reaction. Before PD I was very thin and down to only six non-offending foods. After PD I came up to a normal weight. Like I said, I don't know if it will work for you or not, but it was something that helped me.

Hi,

I have read Primal defense is very good, but i dont think i would be able to handle the grasses and grains in it, find one with simlair SBOs, but without the other things. I wake up throughout the night, so around 2am i take seven or eight caps, it says not to take them with antifungals so this is why i take them at this time so they at least stand a little chance of doing some good. Got EPD coming up so it is duck and sweet potatoes for three days, then mixed meats etc every day for a week or so, but when i finish the antifungals i will try to step up with the NB.

About CT scans Pace, ten years ago when i was very ill through taking Tetracycline,i could hardly walk in a straight line, i was sent for a CT scan then an MRI, both times they double checked with me about earings, or any other jewelry, i wonder if they could make amalgam fillings leech.
