Goat Milk & Die-Off
I've tried goat milk twice so far. I absolutely love it (warmed up with cinnamon and xylitol so I can't tast the goat)! I drank two litres of it a day both times I had it. I'm getting some symptoms with it though, stinging eyes, tiredness, nervousness, mood stuff, eating fruit, etc...
Goat milk is alkalinizing, but it's got some lactose too... So can anyone tell me if it's making me sick in a GOOD way? Are these symptoms signs of die-off, or am I giving a treat to the beasties? (Please say die off!!) Thanks. :)
IMO it's good for a normal person but contains alot of sugar for someone with candida. I had just as much trouble with goat's milk as cow's milk.
I am intolerant milk, but i am having EPD and at some stage might try yogurt, are you okay with yogurt? or is it all dairy.
Hi, I can't do any dairy due to the sugar content. I did buy a small container of goat's milk yogurt, but it was such a small portion, I don't know if it did any harm.
Goat's milk is healing to humans. Its only alkalizing if its raw, and you shouldn't taste any "goat taste".
Hey Sheryl, I've been sick for three days. Too many potato chips I guess, but I can't stop. Missed my 20 year high school reunion which is tonight. Very depressing.
Oh bummer! I hope you feel better.
Could well be a reaction to the goat's milk. If you think about it, its pretty unnatural to drink an excretion from another species intended only to support its young until its digestive system is mature enough to eat 'proper' food.
IMO anything that's not poisonous is fair game to consume. People eat and drink some pretty strange stuff. Milk has a bad rap in some cultures, but most of our relatives grew up on it and lived to be a ripe old age.
Thanks for the info. I'll give goat yogurt a try next, less sugar.
Hey, I should have clarified that anything not poisonous is ok for people without candida. I would be careful with the goats milk yogurt as well. It has quite a bit of sugar too.
Oh well. I tried goat yogurt, and the goat taste was too much for me! But I do have cow yogurt twice a week, don't seem to be bothered by it. Thanks.
