Candida Diet
My weight came off suddenly, eighteen months ago, BEFORE i became intolerant to all the foods, at 5ft 4in i now weigh a little over 7st, which better than it has been, but i am still very thin, i have noticed i have muscle, must be due to all the protein. I dont react to potatoes, but i am sure they feed the candida, without them i would be living on meat, cabbasge and broccoli, and dread to think how my weight would take a nosedive.
Even on my restricted diet i dont feel well, just MUCH better than if i veered off it. Narural antifungals dont seem to touch my candida so i am reluctantly thinking about taking diflucan, have you tried this?
Like others here i have found chlorella to be one of the best things i have used for the toxicity.
Do you have problems with other vegetables like; asparagus, yellow squash, zuchini, green beans, brussel sprouts, onions and peppers? I can eat all of those with no problems. Never tried Diflucan, don't care to because of the side effects on the liver. Have you ever tried cultured vegetables? It's the best thing I have ever used.
Brett, Cant eat ANY beans at all, nor brussels sprouts, carrots, peas, onions, spinach even a little gives me a lasting flare, i havent tried peppers because they are in the same family as potatoes so dont want to rock the boat. I might try the cultured vegetables.
What happens if you eat those foods?
If i veer off my restricted diet i have bladder probs within a couple of days, everything swells to the point i can hardly go to the loo, also, i get very cloudy urine with blood in, i burn all over like i have acid running through my veins, get weak trembly/shakey, about a week to ten days after this the kidney pain kicks in, get constipated too. Also get an upsurge in everything NAUSEA, APPETITE LOSS, insomnia, Joint pain, brainfog, flushing the list IS ENDLESS.
I was intolerant to nuts and dairy anyway (carry EpiPen for nuts) then last March became intolerant to soya followed by corn then rice then ALL grains (even quinoa) next came peas and ALL legumes, by now i was getting desperate i was very thin, the obvious sugar and yeast were no go, i tried avocado and reacted to it after eating it only twice, then onions garlic, carrotts, spinach, pineapple, apple, even lettuce, tuna cod/haddock then ALL fish. I have tried to reintroduce foods without success (apart from a little natural bio yogurt and the odd egg. The longer i go on the meat and veg ONLY the better i feel, although never well.
Had all the conventional testing ultrasounds, endoscopy, colonoscopy. lots of blood tests all normal, in a way this gave me a false sense of security, they denied candidas existance (other than in VERY VERY sick people) wouldnt hear of metals in mouth been dangerous. The more i mentioned these things the more i lost credibility with them.
I just wish i had been more vigalant, and stuck to a rigid diet rather than pushing my luck, so the candida hadnt got such a grip, but i hadnt heard of candida, also wish i had removed metals from my mouth sooner (i waited a year) How about you Brett, what are your symptoms?
I sympathize with you dealing with doctors who don't believe and having such a restriced diet. Misery loves company! I think I've created a really resistant strain in my body also, but the cultured vegetables have really been a miracle. Can you find or make some in the UK? What do you eat on an average day?
Yes Brett, Misery does love company, i wouldnt wish this on anybody, BUT it is comforting to know there are other people with the same problems. An average days food is:-
Breakfast: Sweet Potato (fried) any meat.
Dinner: Jacket Potato, any Meat
Tea; Chips (fried in beef dripping) any Meat, Broccoli/Cabbage.
Super: Pkt Crisps.
(An egg or two about every fourth day)
The only thing that changes day to day is Meat, i rotate it.
I used to eat chips in Beef dripping three times a day when my appetite returned, but i was worried i would sensitise myself to them, so limit them to just once now. Also i dont think i should be eating the Sweet Potatoes because i notice once i have peeled them that they get lots of black/green mould spots on them, trouble is i havent anything to substitute them with, i darent stop them because i will limit my diet further. This is why i have decided VERY RELUCTANTLY to take the diflucan.
