Tongue Coating
while i was away i only did 2-3 grams of c-salt and felt pretty fine, well except for the jet lag and LATE LATE nights.
I had to take lots of chlorella still to keep some of the pain away. I plan on increasing to 4-5 y the end of the week and hope to get to 8 y the end of the month.
also, what do you think of the following? So I did not eat very much meat while camping and actually ate lots of carbs. And my tounge pretty much cleared up... I was even drinking quite a it of coffee. This same thing happened when I had liver hepatitis and stopped all meat. I think my ody is asking for a serious meat reak or just lowering it for a while... More on that later ut now off to bed!!!
Welcome back.
Do you mean 4-5,8 g s/c, or chlorella caps?
So this is something I've experienced as well, and I've never felt I've fully understood it. There are times when I can go very low carb for a couple weeks and have a low-grade coating on the tongue. Then, suddenly after a "normal" meal, complete with carbs and whatever else, I'll notice the tongue go TOTALLY clear. It's bizarre, because without a doubt the low carb thing, massive probiotic yogurt, and nystatin eliminated the thick tongue coating. So in my mind, the thick coating must be thrush(candida), but the thin mild coating must be something else, and perhaps you are correct, that it's directly related to liver funtion.
Sometimes, I feel that simply eating "uncommon" foods clears up this thin coating. I'm not sure I need carbs to clear it up.
So I'm obviously not sure what's going on. It is interesting though, and it seems you and I have EXACTLY the same thing.
I do expect that when we are lyme-free, and fully detoxed, the tongue is going to be squeaky clean... I hope so.
s/c. I am on like 30-40 tas of chlorella a day!
True, I notice this too.
Indeed. I never had this until last Octoer though... SO I am not sure what to make of it ut I am going to change my diet to make it go away and so long as the diet is not negatively impacting me, I will stick with it.>> I do expect that when we are lyme-free, and fully detoxed, the tongue is going to e squeaky clean... Sherry Rogers says can indeed be a sign of liver/toxin overload (like happens with fasting) and NOT candida.
I have had similar experiences. When I had raging candida, a bite of fruit would make my thrush EXPLODE. Now, I can eat a bunch of fruit and any I have (which I presume is toxicity related) disappears.
this seems to inicate to me the need for more cars??
i mean i DO not get thrush or really worse candida on cars or fruits ut my tongue clears up so nicely. I am quite sick of the coating and it started aout 7 or 8 months of chlorella. Perhaps my ody is processing toxins and i need the extra glucose which I know is important for the liver detox pathways too.
I don't want to overdo it with the cars ut I don't think the coated tongue is any good either and it has een so pronounced for over 6 months.
So I may experiment with some more cars and see if that helps with detox... I will let you all know how it goes..
yea, shifting more to carbs for a while sounds like a good idea. i have never noticed that effect with meat myself, but it makes sense. good luck and do let us know it goes.
You do seem to be assuming the tongue coating is a bad thing.. perhaps during this period of healing it may be ok to have this, much the same as other "herx" symptoms.
Given that I get the coating during fasts, I don't necessarily mind getting the coating.
I should also say, that my non-fasting coating is QUITE SPARSE. I'm not sure how bad yours is, but at this point mine is not that noticable at worst. I'm extremely confident that the megadosing probios via yogurt has done wonders for the coating.
Again, just something to think about. Perhaps the coating is a necessary evil during the healing periods, as is fatigue, etc.

True ut it is EVERY DAY since Octoer except when I lowered meat :-( so it concerns me and the acpuncturist says it designates a taxed liver. I don't mind it occasionally and I used to get it when I fasted ut I don't think it is such a good idea to have it all the time.
The amount of cars you eat with yogurt is quite a it so perhaps me adding more cars would just more or less equal what you are doing.
I am not going to go hog wild ut I need to adjust it some so that the liver is working ok.
I may try yogurt again ut I definitely think I have a mil allergy :-( We will see..
>> The amount of carbs you eat with yogurt is quite a bit so perhaps me adding more carbs would just more or less equal what you are doing.
Hopefully, I'm NOT getting too many carbs with the yogurt. I suspect not, given the anticandida effects over the years and given how sour it is. The whole 24 hour culturing thing is supposed to reduce the lactose significantly, although a few folks have suggested culturing longer. I actually often go 2 to 5 hours over, but that varies.
Note also that the fruit I'm eating with the yogurt is very recent. For most of the years I've been doing the yogurt, I was entirely fruit-free except for lemons/limes.
Yes, I can see how giving the liver a break makes sense. I'll tell ya, the raw pasture-fed eggs are amazing.. prolly a MUCH better sources of protein than cooked red meats. They have helped me SO much it's amazing.
I bet you'd do just fine with 24 hour, well-cultured (water baths work INCREDIBLY WELL), largely pasture-fed goat milk. Perhaps you'll be able to track some down on the east coast... amish would be GREAT!
Yes, fasting gives me a pretty intense "mild" coating... nothing like the old thrush though that I once could scrape off in considerabe volume... sorry for the graphics here :)
lol, i hear ya. know what's interesting... when i had my 'fast' from hell, i think my tongue stayed relatively clear for several weeks in... maybe because i was so boned up on nutrients(?) then when i was able to supp potassium again, the coating i had developed receded with each tablet.
