Canned Food
Is canned food harmul for one's health? I thought it was, but my wife doesn't agree with me. Can anybody give me a link to a good article on canned food? Thank you.
Sometimes I buy Sheltons soup. tuna fish (rarely) but mostly I stay away from canned.
I read a study once that said frozen veggies were better for you than fresh. I think it was about how some fresh stuff travels on trucks, sits in storage before ever hitting the shelves in the store, where frozen is picked, and frozen. I'm not sure about that...who knows! I tend to think fresh is better.
At one time, I could not tolerate canned food. I heard that generally, there is more mold in canned vegetables / fruit than in frozen. And that there is more mold in frozen than fresh.
Canned foods have no oxygen, which is why they can sit on the shelf for a long time. Plus, lots of cans have hidden sugars. I never buy canned food.
1) Fresh
2) Frozen
3) Canned - which is never
Good luck
What about preservatives? Aren't they bad?
of corse preservatives are bad. Look, dead food makes you more dead, live food makes you more alive.
Plus the metal toxicity in canned food is terrible. Noticed how canned foods have a metal taste to them? Well that metal residue is going into your body.
