High Secretory IGA

Hi all, does anyone have any idea what high secretory IGA suggests??? It's actually quite difficult to get a definitive answer when you do a google. Just wondered if anyone here has it clearly understood?!!


This could relate to Blood antigens.Some people have blood type antigens that float around freely in their body secretions.These people are called Secretors,because they secrete their blood type antigens into their saliva,sperm,and other body fluids.In addition to their blood,it's possible to learn the blood type of a secretor from these other fluids...these secretors comprise about 80% of the population.Being a secretor or non-secretor is independent of your ABO blood type;it is controlled by a different gene.
