Help With Asthma
I am a lifetime candida sufferer and asthma was one of my first symptoms. I have been coping with this problem for 25 years but now at 63, I have been having mega problems with asthma. I have never been able to achieve a candida cure even after years of natural and conventional treatments but have kept it from getting out of hand. I have ran across an article that states that acetameniphen takes glutathione out of ones body and causes asthma to act up. well...I don't take tylenol because I always have had a feeling it isn't any good for a person. My reasoning is that candida suffers produce alcohol naturally and acetemeniphen & alcohol = liver damamge. My question really comes down to...Do you think taking NAC which boosts glutatione levels will help my asthma? Or do you have any suggestions for someting else? Quite frankly...Bowel problems or brain fog or any other candida symptom is small potatoes compared to not being able to breathe. Help!!
have you looked into oxygen cans? O2GO is a brand worth looking into what they have
and hydrogen peroxide therapy, wet a papertowel and use it to breathe with and lay it on your body - it's helped me a lot
I nebulize for asthma (and other ailments). You can google and it will give the info about this.
But, someone on this board said that they read is bad for asthmatics. All I can say is that, I no longer use any steriods since I've been using it.
I feel your pain; at least I use to. I seldom have to use my Advair now. I find I must take a lot of supplements - 250 mg. of magnesium 3 times a day; pantethine (not pantethenic acid); triphala (it can darken grey hair, or at least I have found that to be the case); Vitamin D-3; Vitamin A; DHEA (I don't take this all the time as it's hard on the liver); alpha lipoic acid; calcium AEP (very, very important for asthma sufferers); and sublingual B12. Some of the supplements I take are mentioned in a book by Fred Pescatore called "The Allergy and Asthma Cure." He recommends rather high dosages of Vitamins A and D3 for the first three months of treatment. In addition to the supplements, I am alkalizing, i.e., eating less meat, more fruits and green vegetables, plus drinking greens drinks. I found one called "Earth's Promise" that actually tastes good. Remember to drink it on an empty stomach. Once your start feeling better, get as much exercise as you can. It will make you feel better still. I am not an expert on NAC, but I have read that it is a very powerful antioxidant, and if you are concerned about liver damage, NAC sounds like a good idea. As for something that might help you deal with the candida byproducts, try pantethine 3 times a day. (Read my post of 9/27 on it.) I never thought I would be able to manage without corticosteroidal medications, but it looks like as long as I take my supplements, alkalize, and exercise, I don't need to suck Advair into my lungs every day. Hope you start feeling better soon.
Thank you for your help. I have ordered the vitamins you mentioned and am a faithful user of Pantethine. Gerry, I think we have discussed this before. I also follow a pretty good organic diet with a big fresh salad everyday. As many fruits and veggies as I can get down without packing on any more pounds! I just feel that something has happened to my body after all these years of fighting with candida and not achieving a cure so I am especially looking for something like the glutathione link.I am going to look into that, for sure! I am always afraid to inhale anything because of cursed chemical sensitivities.
My lungs right know feel raw inside and I have pneumonia. I have had a course of antibiotics but have not achieved a cure. Doctors know are so afraid to give an antibiotic that might actually kill something! They would rather pneumonia kill us. If I have to take a dreaded antibiotic, I would rather take something that works and not have to experiment with the latest drug the salesman is pushing.....Thanks again!
Definitely try the calcium AEP. It's not expensive and really can make a big difference for asthmatics. I honestly haven't had to use Advair since I've been on it. It's manufactured by Advanced Research Labs (they call it 2-AEP calcium). I don't know why more people don't know about it.
