I've heard good things about the NatCell product line. I don't know whether or not the whole gland would be a better supplement than the cortisol. It is worth a try.

Heimlick maneuver, done gently, can help get rid of asthma. Inhaled taurine can be helpful for asthma too. Of course, magnesium is needed. I'd also avoid polyunsaturated oils, because these release serotonin from cells, which will cause bronchial constriction.

You are right. Cortisol is essentially prednisone, although cortisol isn't as potent or long lasting.

You can obtain mixed cortisol products through a health professional (including a chiropractor) or at certain websites where there is a health professional associated with the site. Examples of mixed cortisol products are Drenamin or BioMax Adrenal Cortex Extract. Standard Process makes the Drenamin. BioMax Formulations makes the other product. It is not a prescription item, because the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 allows for low dose hormones to be sold and marketed as dietary supplements. Yet the manufactures only distribute through health practitioners (including chiropractors) because they want to make sure the product is used properly. You can also purchase these adrenal cortex extracts from various companies who have health professionals on staff to answer basic questions. See
