Novocaine

i had to get my tooth drilled this past wednesday and i got novocaine for the first time in a while, maybe 2 years -- i felt so severely depressed and chemically out of it for a few days after then yesterday i felt like i was having a meltdown....really i was having terrible thoughts and i was racing and felt nauseaus but no energy.. i really felt out of body terrible - its like 75% gone and better today..

has anyone had problems like this getting novocaine?


I've had a dentist use Carbocaine without the heart flopping and racing and other unpleasant symptoms with Novocaine.


I have heard of this before. i always take alot of vitamin C before going to the dentist if I am going to have novacaine. I know that it is supposed to lessen the effects of pain killers but I havent noticed anything but positive results from doing this. My son always sleeps the entire day after having a tooth filled and I always assumed that it was from the novacaine.


Not really depression, but novocaine wrecks me. I shake and shiver hard for the entire day after. I hope you are already feeling better.
