Depression

Excluding depression for sure...?
As I am sure it happened to many here, I would like to ask a question to those of you who think they had an experience similar.
Many times, before the doctors find the real causes of our disease being a yeast, lyme or whatever else, they think of a depressional condition or anxiety attacks.
How can we be sure that this is not the real cause and therefore that they might be right?
I am asking you this only because from what I have been reading, I can see that many tests are not reliable, but if we have all of them negative, maybe we could eventually evaluate the diagnosis as a possibility.
Waiting for your opinions.

I have been told on several occasions that the YEAST is not the real problem but secondary to the Endicrone System being out of wack. This would include the adrenals, thyroid, etc. An imbalance in the Endicrone system lowers your immune system and that is why many people get Candida. A stong immune system would not permit any parasites or overgrowth of yeast to take over.
Such is the case with Chemotherapy, which lowers the immune system and for many people permits Candida to take over.
The thing is not to kill off the yeast but strengthen the immune system so that Candida can no longer exist in the body.
There have been several times when I felt so much better after being detoxed....but it never lasted that long because of the problem with my immune system.
I hope this info can be of help to you.

It is my belief that most depression is a result of brain chemistry problems. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to determine the cause because so many different things can cause depression. You can have a inherited clinical form of depression from serotonin problems. Or, depression can be a result of bacterial infections (lyme, streph etc),fungal and candida infections, brain allergies,(ie wheat dairy etc). Even the clinical d epression that is inherited I believe is sometimes a result of wheat or dairy allergies. I have known of people who eliminate certain things from their diet and dont have depression anymore. IF you have lyme, or yeast, it can predispose you to food allergies thus resulting in depression. Since having problems with yeast and or possibly lyme, I experience cerebral difficulties even with supplements and antibioitics that previously I did not have. Tests are not always accurate although I do think that they have validity. Have you kept a journal of your symptoms and recorded to see if your depression is worsened by certain things that you ingest? Do you feel better if you follow the candida diet with supplements?

if you are dperessed, you don't feel like doing anything. If you are ill, you want to do things, but are unable.
I have been both, and it really is different.

But my question is: as depression is a symptom of candida as well, how would you know when it is only depression and anxiety or, on the contrary, if there is a yeast problem?
I wouldn't like to follow rules and cures which are for a problem that I don't have... taking anti-fungals when I only am down would not be very appropriate, don't you think so?
Any test that could eventually tell me 100% of a yeast related problem?

The best test is to se if you feel any different when taking antifungals. Even if you feel worse, because you might have die off. If you feel exactly the same it shouldn't be yeast.
And yes: candida can give depression. We are of course all different, but in my experience it is not so bad as the depression I get from trauma. Doesn't feel quite as hopeless.

Also you can get depression from lack of Mg (take epsom salt baths) and fromm gluten, for example. These things can be tested for.

I did varius candida tests and all came back negative, yet has seen actual threads of candida in my blood in microscope.
