Lamisil for candida treatment?

Lamisil as a candida treatment? I have started taking Lamisil as I have athletes foot. I first had problems with flatulence and food sensitivites: dairy then gluten. Then I realized I had candida. I have been on the candida diet for two weeks now and recently went off the pill. For four days I have been taking Lamisil. How effective is it for candida treatment and how long is the recovery time normally?
Please advise....

I have had excellent results with Lamisil in the past. It has cleared my digestion and genital infection. For me it takes 5 days to work. However as I still had underlying issues (too much copper in my system), the infections returned some months later. The Lamisil worked for me 3 times before the yeast became resistant.

Thanks for your comments. I have been on Lamisil for the sixth day now and it is improving. I think it is rather scary as at times even though I am dramatically improving, because I had such terrible symptoms it is difficult to ignore my doubt about recovery. It's strange but the better I am physically the more emotional I have become mentally because I just want it over with and I am frustrated with the strict diet and thinking about food and treatment all the time.At first I thought I was lactose intolerant - then went on a diet for a couple of weeks, then I thought I was gluten intolerant and went on the diet for 3 months (felt a little better), then went off the pill (felt a lot better), then have been on the candida diet for over two weeks and one week with the Lamisil. For me - it feels like it has been too long. I don't think I have enough stamina for much longer on this regimented lifestyle.
