Amino Acid Megadose
ive just had a look at the nutricentre website and 'livatone plus', and i think im going to try and detoxify my liver while im going through die-off. do you think that supplementation with individual amnio acids like Glutamine, Glycine, Taurine and Cysteine would work? do they have to be in specific quanties or ratios to each other? and could general supplementation with a full spectrum of amino acids be beneficial?
At Pfeiffer clinic in the US and propably other places to where they treat autism with DAn treatment, they test each person for their aminoacid balance, and prescribe accordingly.
Maybe there is somewhere in the UK that does it too? There are some DAn doctors in Scotland at least, maybe England as well.
To be honest I have never tried to supplement individual amino acids. I have always used them as part of a supplement complex particularly targeted towards liver detoxification/support. I don't believe all the amino acids are required by the liver to assist detoxification - it seems to be specifically Taurine, Methionine, Glycine, Cysteine and Glutamine so therefore supplementation with a full spectrum of amino acids may not be entirely necessary. I personally prefer to take tailored supplement - that way it takes some of the guess work out of wondering what my liver may or may not need. I do take extra Vitamin B in addition to Livetone Plus, lots of magnesium and extra zinc - all necessary nutrients needed to assist the liver.
By the way if you do decide to go ahead and detoxify your liver - be aware that this action in itself can cause you just as much die-off/toxins as when you are actively "killing" candida i.e with diet/antifungals. To do both at the same time could produce far too much toxicity for you to handle. Drink loads of water, and try a tablespoon of olive oil with the juice of half a lemon every morning. All good for the liver! Sorry I cannot help you more re: doseages etc - but do try liver detoxing/cleansing....its one of the keys to clearing candida (in my experience).
