Food Allergies and Babies

Food allergies and babies My 10-month-old has all of the sudden in the last week or so gotten a rash with almost everything she eats. We even gave her steamed carrots at lunch today and her cheeks turned red. She has never been on antibiotics, but needed steroids back in December for croup. Is it possible these allergies are just Candida? I have systemic candida from all the antibiotics I took as a child. Is it hereditary? Does anyone know what I can feed a baby that would be safe?

Are you feeding her organic food? It is amazing what some people can't eat when it isn't organic, but can eat when it is.

My friends baby developed this terrible red rash on her face and chin. It looked terrible. Turned out to be an allergy to nylon.

I dont know if candida can be passed thru breast milk but if she was breast fed, she may have picked up candida . I think that steroids can cause a flare in candida. With a child that young, it is probably alot harder to test for candida and allergies. They do have probiotics specifically made for children.

my 20month old developed several food intolerences at about 9months (milk, soya, gluten). I think it is unlikLY to become allergic or intolerent to carrots, especially in a week. I used probiotics for my boy and he eats every thing now. People can have a genetic susseptability to candida eg. enzyme deficiency.
